Thanks Tom, you are really helpful on this forum. Do you know when they will updated the cap numbers on website
will it be weekly ? Also, I think that number will be updated depending how many people get AOR after 9th Nov...not sure

For what I know and for what the website says,

The numbers presented are updated weekly. There is no guarantee that an application sent in now will fall within the cap by the time CIC receives it.

But until the first update, we're all only guessing.

iam_toby, i need your views why the cic has started the cap system for cec, are they expecting lot of lot applications...? I had seen the statics last year it was only 5900 or something..So if this is the case they will get hardly 12,000 application. Or cic is planning something different..?

Quite frankly, we don't know what's the reasoning behind the new rules. Maybe abuse? Maybe too many applicants from specific NOCs? We dont know.

Its 9000 some thing and Why, probably CEC is over represented by few particular NOC and they wanted to balance it.
But, we can only confirm about it in future. Last Year was very quick for certain NOC. There were People got MR and PR in 8 month time period.
So I guess they keep coming with new policies to balance the system.

yes, thanks for your valuable advice.

We're getting AOR in under 50 days right now, so you can expect it fairly soon if your package
is complete and all forms are dated and signed.

Yeah heard that too, hope for the best :)

for all of the people out there...

My application received today by cichlids. Please add me in excel 4122 code

a friend of mine & his wife got lucky, he received his MR simultaneously with his file no. Did anyone had this experience?

WoW...did he apply in CEC? How long did it take to get AOR?
I am thinking 6months.

Together with the AOR? Well that would be the first case I hear about that gets MR and AOR the same day

Ok, so not really faster than other applications. Thanks for clarifying.
