hi,

Do all the documents that are copies have to be attested ? I saw some of my friends who have submitted without attesting the documents and they have got their AOR too.

My document reached CIC yesterday on 12th Dec.

Refer to the document checklist and instruction guide.

What I understand from the checklist is that, if the document is in any other language its needs to be notarized. So the ones which are in English need not be attested right ?

Thanks

Correct. For documents that are already in English or French a simple xerox photocopy is enough.

I send my application today, probably will be received on 15th Nov..I guess, I will be here with u guys again :) for 12 month atleast...Though I think that CEC time will be drastically reduce...I remember when I was in university people who applied under CEC got their PR in 8-10 months....Good luck every one

Hi guys,

I was days away from submitting my application (CEC) till I read the new backgrounder that basically destroyed the plan I was working towards.

My code is 1241 - Administrative Assistant.

I had ALL my documents ready to go, but I was waiting on a certified translated copy of my birth certificate.

My job title and NOC was essentially listed on that update the CIC provided. Does my title fall under NOC A or NOC B?

What other alternative can I use? I'm willing to relocate to another province if required. I am currently in Ontario. How much waiting time am I facing if I do apply under something else?

The only thing I have working for me is that my work permit is valid till early 2015. Other than that, I'm screwed...

Your NOC is not eligible anymore, you will have to look into alternatives.

Here's a place to start looking: >> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/eligibility.asp
