When you initially submitted RCMP was it for you and your dependents (if you have applied PR for dependents as well)? If you submitted only for you then it is very likely CIC is now asking for your dependents. I received RCMP request email couple of weeks back and within few minutes I received another email saying RCMP check is required only for my spouse and not me. One of my colleague was in similar situation wherein he sent RCMP upfront for him alone but later CIC requested it for his spouse.

Nope, I am the only primary applicant on my file...

I have not received anything else except RCMP request... I did my RCMP fingerprinting today and submitted online.. But I do not know how long is it gonna take to submit to Ottawa by RCMP...

Any idea how long does it ussually take..??

. You should have gone to finger printing agency that can do it electronically. It's faster will take 3 days. They will send it to Ottawa. You will recvd the result in 3,days, local Rcmp has 22 weeks turn around time. They usually have paper based finger printing . I was asked to submit RCMP finger printing criminal record check on my fsw application that was submitted in 2011. I'm going to have it done in commissionarries in Lethbridge.

I gave my finger prints to agency on 3rd aug, they sent it to RCMP on 8th aug, electronically submitted ones are processed in 3 days by RCMP.. yesterday CIC confirmed that they have received my RCMP check..

Just an update on my friend's aPplication.. He received passport request last august 15 (with dependents). Application received on november 19. MR was early to mid of july. NOC 6212 or 6311.

what email address you used..?What do you think should I send them an email now or wait for couple more days? As per the finger printing agency they have submitted my fingerprints directly to RCMP and the gave me an online confirmation #

RCMP needs 3 business days to verify whether they have any match for your finger prints.. Give them an additional day and then you can mail the CIC.. I just responded to the mail which asked me to do RCMP.. I included my other details like first name, last name, dob, category, file no etc in my email..

Strike and summer vacations ... lower capacity due to personnel reassignment. My theory was that they are using this time to play catch up and to finalize already outstanding apps from last summer, as well as onward. Should they settle the labor dispute soon, DEC apps should expect something in SEPT.

Hi Guys

A good news, I have got MR today (Family).

But I have a problem, there was a spelling error in my first name in the AOR email I had received. It was a typing error by CIC. I have informed this error to CIC. They informed me that the clarification i have given is attached with my file. But in the ECAS the spelling error is still there.

The error is also in the Biodata document i got from CIC along with MR. So please advise what should I do now.

My wife also reveive MR, but she has done Medical for her wok permit which was in Jan 2012, so it is less than a year. Does she need to do MR again.

Please help urgent
