Hi everyone,

I have a question about GCMS Notes, I have applied on July 26 and got the notes back today (Aug 13) in email. According to the notes, under the Eligibility, it says "recommend Passed" and the date of upated was June 20, 2013, CPP-Ottawa. Does it mean i pass the Eligibility section? But on the 2nd page of the notes, it says that Eligibility is in Progess.

Criminality is in progress since Dec 31, 2012 (date of AOR). Medical and Security have not started according to the update on June 20, 2013.

On the first page of notes (like a summary), app status Reason: In Progress.

Thats all i got. Have anyone get the similar notes feedback? plz share. Thanks a lot.

Look towards the back of the notes and you will see detailed info the VO has written re your application. Let us see what the late note said re your app/eligibility and this will give you and us a better idea.

Hello Guys I got my RCMP Check request today, which I need to get it done with in 60 days.

My question is I did not submit my canadian fingerprinting (RCMP) on paper when I submitted my file. I can do it, but my question is why did they ask again to do it and If I have to do it..Can I submit that online or do I have to mail it out?

PLEASE HELP !!!!

I did submit that when I sent out my package...

Reply to the email and tell CIC that you have already provided the same and then act based on their reply..

There may be other individuals with similar or same name.....fingerprint check will set you apart from them and verify your criminal record in Canada, if any. Thats the why.

The how -- you need to either visit one of the local police stations or if in a major metropolitan area, visit a private company that fingerprints. Either way, police or company will forward your fingerprint to RCMP, who will then run the checks. Shortly after, RCMP will generate a report, and either send directly to CIC or to yourself. If you decide to send it back to yourself, then you need to forward it on to CIC by mail. PCC, regardless of the fact that its done in Canada, need to be forwarded in hard copy to CPP-O.

Not sure why they would ask for it twice though??? The length of the application, expiry of PCC, inconsistency in received and obtained information... ??

When you initially submitted RCMP was it for you and your dependents (if you have applied PR for dependents as well)? If you submitted only for you then it is very likely CIC is now asking for your dependents. I received RCMP request email couple of weeks back and within few minutes I received another email saying RCMP check is required only for my spouse and not me. One of my colleague was in similar situation wherein he sent RCMP upfront for him alone but later CIC requested it for his spouse.

I have not received anything else except RCMP request... I did my RCMP fingerprinting today and submitted online.. But I do not know how long is it gonna take to submit to Ottawa by RCMP...

Any idea how long does it ussually take..??
