Hi sashali78,

Thank you so much! best New year gift to me, all the best to all Nov applicants =)

Congrats to all who received AOR. Seems like CIC is issuing AOR faster based on the Jan 4th case.

One interesting observation I have with respect to the processing by CIO is that they seem to screen the completeness of a package almost immediately when it is received, and then wait for a long time (a month) to charge the credit card. Do you guys agree or is it just my guess?

I think the package is assessed based on receipt which happens in sequence and not almost immediately. In order to streamline the process of payment, an option to pay the fees online (upfront) while submitting the application has been introduced now. This could possibly cut down initial processing time for sure.

I see... I looked up the applicant lists from July to November. For example, in "seventeen5552"'s case, his/her package was sent back on Dec 14th for missing a form which is about 15 days from the date of receipt (Nov 28). If CIO does it based on sequence, then seventeen5552 would've been charged earlier than the applicants who submitted before Nov 28. I think I saw a couple other cases like that in different threads. Anyway, it's good to know that they've streamlined the process.

CC charged today and updated the list.

Guys whom has received their AOR, I was wondering if you are able to check your ECAS beacuse I am not able to do so?

Thanks.

Hi Alak, you won't be able to check ECAS right away. Give CIC some time before they update your status online. In my case last time, I wasn't able to check ECAS until a couple of weeks after AOR.
