November 2012 Applicants Unite!

Hi everyone,

I just mailed off our application on Thursday - it is supposed to arrive in Mississauga on November 5th. I don't see another thread yet for November folks so I thought I'd start one!

I just returned to Canada (BC) after spending 4 years in California. My partner is still living and working in California. We are seriously hoping that waiting period will go quickly - she is hoping to move here in June, which will be 8 months away.

We did the paperwork all ourselves, without a lawyer, but did have some input and advice from friends who had recently gone through the process -- and from this forum, of course!

Hi everyone,

We have just sent in our application for a common law sponsorship. I am Canadian and my partner is Japanese. We did all the paperwork by ourselves as well but it seems like the Visa will be processed in Manilla. I have heard the process is a bit quicker for Japanese nationals but i guess we will just have to wait and see.

Yayyyyy! I hadn't seen this before, I was hoping to find other November Applicants!
We are also applying now in November, I can't send any private messages yet and our file hasn't been received either but I hope at some point RM15 can add us to the spreadsheet

you'll be able to send private messages and edit the information on your profile once you reached 10 posts - so basically as soon as you answer on this thread, you will be able to edit the information (add your VO etc on the left) and also send PM to others in the forum.

Just posted mine off less then 20 minutes ago! It is nice not have the file looking at me from the desk and the draw, that being said, I think I miss it already. I posted it and now my brain is saying "god I hope it doesn't bounce back". now to play the waiting game and try not to over think things!

(I'm going through this "what if something is missing or we forgot to include this and this or didn't do what they asked" phase. Of course we checked and double checked but still...)

same here! i have all the documents saved on my computer and STILL i check them sometimes if i second guess myself about something in particular and think i forgot something. this immigration stuff can drive a person crazy lol. so glad that the processing times are so low now though!

Oh yes, I have it all saved on my computer also but I'm trying not to check anything..I'm afraid I'll find a huge mistake and panic! Maybe it would be wise to go through it once again though... I just want them (CIC) to receive it already!!
And yeah, I'm happy about the processing times too but then again I'm not counting on anything happening fast

November applicants, if you applied inland you will find that the Inland 2012 spreadsheet will give you a very good picture on timelines. I suggest you join.

lol i think if you can get a link for it somehow alls youd have to do is copy and paste the link in the post here, but i know nothing about spreadsheets and how they work so dont take advice from me lol.
