    Love or Opportunity? Coffee Social

Hey everyone! I know no one writes here anymore, but I wanted to say I was just reading the posts from late 2012 and early 2013 and they still make me laugh. I hope you're all doing very well wherever you are, thanks for making this process a lot nicer! :)

I don't know if this helps but my husband brought our dog and it was really easy! We just got a vet certificate stating the dog's name, breed, age, weight, chip, vaccinations etc. And the vet also certified our dog was from a rabies-free country. When we arrived (at Toronto) they pretty much...

I don't know if it's true as mine said the processing started on the same day they made the decision! I know VOs are trained and surely capable of processing those applications fast but even so I believe it took them longer than that! Unless there's something I'm not understanding. :)

Hi! Are you from a visa exempt country? If so, London doesn't send a passport request, when a decision is made (given it's an approval) they will just mail your COPR to you :) Your COPR will have a date written on it and you have to land on or before that date.

I did the same, and I was quite nervous. I didn't have ties to my home country but I would've left before my 6 months was up. The CBSA agent actually started saying "that's a long visit...that's a long visit" but turns out I was approved the same day so he saw that on his computer while I had no...

:) It feels weird to be honest! But good weird haha! I have to admit Canadians are super super nice.. I can't even count how many "welcome to Canada" I've heard...at the border (CBSA and Customs officers), at Service Canada...and pretty much everywhere else :D I don't think my country welcomes...

    Landing process in Canada questions

Hi! I don't know about Toronto but I can tell you my experience: My husband and I went to primary inspection together. Then the CBSA inspection officer (or whatever is the proper name/word!) told me to go to secondary inspection (called Immigration Canada or something like that). My husband was...

Hi! It says on CIC's website that they're working on applications received on October 8th at the moment, so I'm sure you'll hear from them in a few weeks! You can check that at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp :)

I wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone for all your help. I landed today and thanks to the advice on this thread, everything went well. I still feel weird that the process is done now, especially since others including Scottishmaple and DGT should've gotten their DMs before me! I hope it's only a...

Hi :) I'm a visa exempt citizen and my VO is London, and once they make the decision (given it's an approval) they send you the COPR by mail and that's it :) So they don't need my passport, they didn't even ask for copies of all the pages of it, they just sent the COPR and with that I can land...

Hi BrazilianGirl , whenever you have time, can you please correct my info on the spreadsheet? I didn't get a PPR, and it wasn't on May 6th :) They actually made the decision on April 23rd and sent the COPR by mail. Haven't landed yet though :) Thanks!

Thank you canuck_in_uk and Sweden! :) I thought there's a question about previous refusals when you fill out the ESTA form? I'm not sure though, of course administrative refusal would be the easiest thing to do but I wouldn't want any problems with ESTA in the future! My husband and I are...
