Status update:

My beautiful wife received a letter by snail mail from CIC Nairobi asking.....

- for us to pay the "Right of Permanent Resident Fee"
- provide passport for herself
- redo page 3 of Schedule A (IMM5669), specifically when answering if you have been in the military she needs to say "none" rather than "not applicable".

seems like all very good news and (of course) we are excited but not counting our chickens before they hatch (cheep cheep)

Ms Malawi - pls update the following two columns:
Passport Requested: Jan 22 2013 (received in mail on Jan 31 2013
Status changed to "In Process" on January 14, 2013 even though no AOR received.

Thanks very much Nthompson. It seems most VO are moving fairly quickly unless an interview is required. Lineups for interviews seem to be quite long. IF I am right then I can only suggest people do everything you can to give CIC no reason to want to interview you. I know sometimes it seems random but the offices usually have red flags which hopefully you can avoid if you plan thoroughly and follow instructions carefully.

Jainachal, I'm sure thats for sponsorship approval as AOR is party of stage 1?

I do hope I'm not part of the red flag but I might be as Of my conviction even though it was 12 years ago and was for value of $400 i hope it don't hold me back... y stage 1 went really fast got that within a week in November..

Lucky enough my mrs got a sponsorship for a working visa in my school I teach in so If it takes longer atleast we won't have to be apart.

Still shocked how fast yours went through. Whats your story? You and your partner been together for a long time

We've been together for about 2.5 years now. I'm a blessed man for finding her.

I'm really happy for you as you know is hard to find a decent woman and this is why I'm willign to to move to Canada to start a life with mine.

You have been together with mrs as long as I have been with mine We have been living together for almost a year now...

When do you plan to board to Canada? and what part?

I received an email informing me that they have started processing, but not too sure how much longer I will have to wait. Just let me know the day you sent your application and when your medicals were done! I have heard that London is fairly quick, so here's hoping your wait will be short lived and you will be reunited soon. Some of us will be here for the long haul as places like Pretoria are still 23 months. Though that is 4 months shorter than last update!

Please do add me to your spreadsheet! I sent my application on the 5th November and my medicals were done 10th June 2012. I am also very lucky and extremely fortunate that I am here in Vancouver already waiting out the visa time with my husband. While I am unemployed and cannot work here, I am grateful to be able to be with him nonetheless.

Hi Jainanchal,

I just checked my own ecas this morning and was shocked that my sponsorship application section has been removed. I called CIC immediately and they just gave me a good news that my application to sponsor has been approved and i should be getting the letter soon. The guy i spoke with said they are updating the site.......let keep our fingers cross. It is well.

Ms malawi, can you please update my info on the spreedsheet.
