Hi Moh Mor

There are two ways to submit our application. The first one is mailing paper applications directly to NSOI office at Halifax or through online at http:/novascotia.ca/eNSNP where we can upload all our supporting documents required in PDF format. Before using this online service, it is compulsory to create Express Entry profile as we need to submit Express Entry Profile Number and Job seeker Validation Code to NSOI. When all is completed we get confirmation from NSOI that they have received our application, further they also send us NSOI Profile Number along with their Job verification code.

I hope you have understood. However I’m using service from Immigration agent at my place.

I understand processing time now is between 10 and 11 months. Since I’ve applied through online to NSOI, my profile shall expire in one year, hence hoping I’ll be communicated by NSOI within 12 months. I guess they will not cross more than 12months for finalizing our application.

Any comments from senior member will be highly appreciated.
I asked u about that cuz as I know last year applicants only could send their paper applications!?

Hello everyone.
I hope everyone here is doing okay.

I just have a quick question regarding applying to the Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream, the one where an international skilled worker can apply without a job offer from a Nova Scotia employer.

My question is, do regulated professions such as Healthcare Professionals (e.g. Nurse, Midwife, etc.) need to be regulated in Nova Scotia first, before applying to the Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream?

Thank you very much. Any feedback would be highly appreciated.
No.

Hi Guys,

My below query is not related to the immigration process, its general job related.
We are in process of NS PNP, need to know job scenario in Banking at Halifax.
Those who are already in Canada or able to secure job offer in Banking sector, need your views.

My spouse is working in Banking Operations since last 8years( Corporate Banking - Trade Finance\ CMS\KYC & Retail Banking- ATM, Account Opening, Payments) in India. To get her job in Canadian banks does she need to upgrade her skill sets by completing any courses or certification. What are her chances of securing job since its not mentioned in NOC codes. Will be really great help if any one of you can share any information on the same.

Thanks & Regards
SD

Well, All those NOCs which are regulated in Canada it means that to work in those occupation you must have license or trade certification, red seal etc... All these certification or licence you can only get if you are citizen or landed immigrant of Canada cause each of them required Canadian work experience, So you can not get it if you are outside Canada.

For your confirmation, My NOC was 2241 which is a regulated occupation and I did apply and many people do. So to apply for any immigration program your job duties and responsibilities must match the duties described with that NOC for which you are applying.
If I can get official link for all this information for sure I will forward to you.

RLMD(Regional Labour Market Demand Stream) which opened in 6th March 2014 for 200 application application accepted till 17th March2014
NSNP- In Demanad: Express Entry which opened in January 2015 and application accepted till 17th December 2015

You are right there is a way to submit application online but NSOI start this facility from 17th December 2015 onwards, and that time NSNP: In demand express entry(Pilot) program stopped accepting more application after this date.
Conclusion is There was no way to submit your application online for NOVA SCOTIA DEMAND: EXPRESS ENTRY(PILOT) program before 17th December 2015, if your agent says that he or she submitted your application online for this program, I would suggest you to verify the source.

is there any hope for people who do not reside in NS to apply for their provincial nominee program?
Hello my friend

NSNP: In Demand Express Entry (Pilot Project) is designed for everyone, but this program is closed on 17th December 2015, and no one knows when it will open this year. Normally every year in January many provinces open their program for international skilled worker. So there are many people like you who are hoping to re-open this program.

Thanks drajpoot, things will be easy if my nomination get processed before my ICT. Thanks again for the help, will need your help in coming days for any queries.
Hi drajpoot,

Our IETLS score is getting expired as on 02 August 2016. We have replied to NSOI for their requirement email as on 19 May 2016. As per trend they might reply within 1 or 2 months for further query or invitation. Assuming that we got invitation and further ITA in coming draw somewhere in mid of July and we were able to submit docs with medical and forms before end of July that is before our IELTS expires can it be considered valid for further assessment or do you think we should give IELTS again. We have secured top band hence reluctant to take test again. How long IELTS score needs to be valid ? correct me if am wrong, I read it shud be valid during submission of PR application. If so then will it be considered ?

Another thing, we were staying in USA since last two year & we assumed that we might get thru EE draw since our score is good and cutoff was almost close, hence obtained PCC from FBI last year in advance since it takes 3 - 4months. But unfortunately plan didn't worked out as expected and now PCC is stale for almost a year. We came back in India few months back, incase if filling needs to be done in July, can i submit stale USA PCC with explanation letter ?

Need your views on this, many thanks in advance.

Regards
SD
