Dear Friends, Seniors,
Am in process of ICT visa from my Indian company, hopefully i will be joining onsite office in August first week. Last year i have applied for NS PNP in June 2015, completely lost track of it and thought it might be rejected since no reply.
Last week i have received mail from NSOI for additional details like funds statement EE # NOC # & Job details. Within two days I have replied them with details, need to know on following few concerns and queries
1. How long it takes on an average for their reply \ nomination.
In that email, They must mentioned the time period under which you need to provide them all required information, So you are supposed to get their reply after that period, Does not matter how fast you replied them. Normally if they need more information then they reply fast and ask more documents or information but if they do not need more information, you can assume that your nomination is almost done.
2. Considering PR process timeline I might be already working in Toronto under ICT visa, once i receive mail request for PP for PR stamping under NS PNP, what should i do ? Do i need to inform my company ?
Its upto you either you need to inform your company or not. Once you will file your application for permanent residence you need to provide CIC all your present status truly.
3. Post stamping what will be status of my ICT visa ?
Once you will become permanent resident of Canada , your ICT visa will no more valid.
4. Since Immigration is under PNP do i need to exit Canada and re enter for port of Landing in NS for accepting PR card ?
If you are already in Canada and get Confirmation of Permanent Residence, you are required to do landing process, it does not matter by which program you got PR either by PNP or FSW.
It is not necessary to land in Nova Scotia, you need to exist Canada and re enter in Canada, you can re-enter in any province. As you would be in Toronto so best thing would be to do your landing at Rainbow Bridge(US- Niagara Border)
5. I would like to work in Toronto under ICT, do i need to withdrew my PR nomination in future or is there any way to workaround the situation by accepting PNP PR and still work in Toronto by justifying it to NSOI, since finding job and working on good designation is quite difficult.
To get nomination, under your situation is bit complicated as nominee officer may doubt your intention to settle in Nova Scotia as you have job in Toronto. But as you said you still did not get ICT visa and still you are not in Canada so if nominee officer does not ask much about your present status, and you get nomination then I do not thing there would be any problem to get PR. and once you get PR you can continue work with your company in Toronto and look for job in Nova Scotia. Well you are still too far for this situation.
Am also worried incase in future if my extension of ICT visa goes thru any issues then PR is safe bet.
You do not need to worry this time, Very soon the picture would be more clear, if you get nomination then I guess you do not need to worry much.
Your expert advice is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
