Hi Guys,
I have some queries regarding application for Nova Scotia.
As per their application guide:
Category 2: Paid Work Experience in an Opportunity Occupation
You have at least one year of continuous full-time (or 1,560 hours or more) or an equal amount in part-time paid
work experience in the last 10 years in one of the opportunity occupations listed in Appendix 1.
At the bottom of their application guide they have a section Appendix 3 – Forms and Supporting Documents Reference Sheet
Work experience
For the principal applicant:
The applicant must have accumulated at least one year of continuous full-time paid work experience, or the
equivalent in continuous paid part-time work experience, in the occupation identified as their primary
occupation, that is listed in Skill Type 0, Skill Level A or B of NOC 2011.
In order to meet the minimum requirements, the applicant’s skilled work experience must have occurred within
the 10 years preceding the date of their application.
Now this is a bit confusing for me:
My work experience is:
Sep 2008 - Jan2010 (NOC 2173) In Nova Scotia opportunity occupations list
Feb 2010 - Current (NOC 2283) Not in their opportunity occupation list
My questions:
1. Can i apply for their program showing the experience of NOC 2173 as it is in more than one year and in the last 10 years.
2. In appendix 3 they state that the work experience must be in the primary occupation and as per CIC website the primary occupation is for the last five years. Can i still apply as NOC 2173 experience is more than 5 years old?
3. This is more of a question for Express Entry profile. Where it asks for your primary occupation can i put NOC 2173 as my primary occupation?
Thanks
