They are sending AOR to mid-August applicants right now. Timelines for AOR are currently at 5+ months after submitting application.@Miss bee I have NON EE PNP PR application submitted on September 25, 2024, and no AOR till this moment.
Thanks a lot for your update. If provincial nominee gets expired while application is still under process, do we request the province to get renewed? They are sending AOR to mid-August applicants right now. Timelines for AOR are currently at 5+ months after submitting application.
1. Processing Timeframes
Official Processing Times: The IRCC website provides estimated processing times based on when they receive a complete application. This is generally referred to as the Application Received (AR) date.
Updated Timeframes: Processing times are dynamic and may increase or decrease depending on IRCC workload, backlogs, or operational changes. When processing times change after you submitted your application, IRCC applies the new estimate from your AR date, not the timeframe that was in effect when you initially applied.
2. New vs. Existing Applications
If IRCC has extended the timeframe (e.g., from 10 months to 20 months), this applies retroactively to all applications still in process.
For example, if you submitted your application 9 months ago, your processing time would align with the updated timeline of 20 months, meaning you might have 11 months remaining.
3. Conflicting Information
Call Center: Representatives often provide the latest estimated processing times, as they follow current policies and updates.
Website Estimates: These provide general guidance and are updated regularly but may not account for specific nuances of individual cases.
4. Key Points to Note
Case-Specific Variations: Factors like missing documents, security checks, or interviews can delay processing.
MP Inquiries: Members of Parliament (MPs) can inquire with IRCC on your behalf for clarity but will usually confirm the updated timeframe.
Communication: IRCC has the final say, so if there is confusion, consider requesting updates through the IRCC web form or an ATIP (Access to Information and Privacy) request for detailed status.
5. Conclusion
Yes, the 18-24 month timeframe (or the new timeframe) applies to all applications, including those submitted months ago, unless explicitly stated otherwise by IRCC. Unfortunately, the original timeframe (e.g., 10 months) isn’t guaranteed if there are processing updates after submission.
Yes it goes back into queue and processing time will starts again.@Miss bee Hello, If my application got returned due to missing documents or information, and i re-submit it within few weeks. Does my file go back in the que to be assessed, or it gets picked early?
1. Processing Timeframes@ Misbee & Everyone.....
I Just called IRCC and got to know that my PVO is Sydney & SVO is Ottawa. The agent told me that the application type of PNP non express entry processing time is of 20 months. She told me the above timeline when I asked her about the non receipt of medical request. So shocking and don't know what to do, when I applied on July 28th 2024 the processing time was 13 months. I thought the 20 months timeline will be for the new application. Don't know how truth is this information from the agent. Let's hope and wait for the best.
It is correct. The processing time is now 20 months...so it's applicable to everyone irrespective of when you submitted the application.@ Misbee & Everyone.....

Thank you for the response Miss B. I received my AOR and I have applied for BOWP with restoration. If you haven’t got AOR you were supposed to submit closed work permit application. For that your employer won’t need LMIA . He has to submit job offer in employer portal and pay $230 compliance fees and then you should put that job offer in work permit application form and apply with help of WPSL from PNP office. For now you are out of status and have to stop working. You should apply closed work permit application along with restoration of status application asap as you only have 90 days to restore status otherwise you will fall out of status and have to leave Canada.

Once you get AOR , fill background declaration form again with correct information and resend it through webform . No need to attach letter of explanation.@Miss bee
I recently heard that flagpoling is counted as denied entry. I did flagpoling to obtain my PGWP and it’s been 5 months since my application. Should I be raising a web form and send a LOE about the situation and refill IMM5669 form or only LOE shud be okay ?
Also my PCC has expired after submission what shud u do??
If your status was expired, you can't submit BOWP . You need valid status to be eligible for BOWP . You need to apply for closed work permit.Thank you for the response Miss B. I received my AOR and I have applied for BOWP with restoration.
I am just awaiting an approval and bringing back to work status. What other thing do advise. Employer has agreed to keep my job and provide support and confirmation that I still hold the job though on leave with pay. Any other advice for me.
No they won't. They will request it again.Does IRCC return application if PCC has expired ?
