Hi @Miss bee , I was overthinking and noticed something. On form IMM5406 I listed my father as married and mother as divorced. However, I did not listed my father’s current wife, she’s not my blood relative so I thought she shouldn’t be listed. Is this a mistake that can make IRCC return my application? Should I raise a webform? I haven’t received AOR yet.
No , they don’t care about it . They will not return your application. Don’t worry.

Received Portal 2 email - 25th Sep 2024 (Uploaded photos and in-Canada declaration on the same day)
ECOPR: Still waiting :(

Is this an abnormal delay? Should I contact the IRCC or my Member of Parliament at this point?

@Miss bee
A delay between receiving the Portal 2 email and getting eCOPR can be common, as the timeframes for issuing eCOPR vary significantly based on factors like the workload of the visa office (Montreal in your case) and IRCC’s processing timelines. However, since it has been over a month with no updates, reaching out to IRCC could be helpful to check on your application status.

Hello everyone, I wish all your process is going smooth.

I have a question. I am going to submit my PR application (non express entry) as I just received the nomination. However, my doubt is that if I'm already in Canada and have been employed for over 2 years, is it necessary to show proof of funds or just the pay stubs will suffice?

Also, my other question is, my documents were translated in Mexico by a official interpreter, should I notarize them? Or would they be valid?

Thanks a lot for your reply

No you don’t need to provide proof of funds .
For notary documents, you should do again from Canada for safer side .

Wait for few more days . You will get it .
Hi @Miss bee again, Today I called IRCC about our medical exam issue. My son and I were quite surprised because they sent my medical exam letter by regular mail, not email. My wife’s letter, as you know, was sent via email. Now, my son and I are waiting for the letter. The shipment was made on November 1st, and the tracking has been updated today. I just wanted to inform you because I was shocked they sent it by mail to our address. After all, my wife is the principal applicant, and we are dependent living in the same household.

Hi @Miss bee i hope you are doing well, i have a question regarding LOE. Can i use the same one that i used to apply for nomination? or can i use that one as it contains duties and link it with an updated one that i can pull up on the system without duties but states the latest total hours worked. My concern with that question is that HR wont state that my job is permanent even though it was supposed to be before us getting transferred to a company, as it will state the ending date. Im concerned about misrepresentation as obviously no one would like to commit that Any help will be appreciated

It’s unusual that IRCC sent the medical letters by different methods, but there could be a few reasons:
1. System or Case-Specific Factors: IRCC’s system might automatically send letters differently based on the role (principal applicant vs. dependents) or case-specific triggers. Sometimes, dependent documents get processed separately, leading to variations in delivery methods.
2. Verification or Security Precautions: Sending letters by mail can occasionally be a security step, especially if they need additional verification. However, this is less common for medical requests and might be an oversight or exception.
3. Process Variation by IRCC Officers: IRCC officers might have discretion over how they send certain documents, depending on workload, protocol changes, or specific instructions for the case.

Where are you attaching LOE ? I don’t understand what you are asking for ? Can you please elaborate .

@Miss bee my apologies. Can i use the same letter of employment that i used to apply for pnp to IRCC? It just im worried that im not eligible anymore because even though my job was supposed to be permanent, now it has an end date because of the transition on the LOE . At the same time im not sure if this is misrepresentation because the new job is permanent but i wont have a letter of employment anytime soon as im not starting to work until feb/ march. Im not really sure what im supposed to do. Maybe notify province and IRCC and see if i can provide the offer from the new company?

Given your situation, it’s generally best to be transparent and proactive to avoid potential issues with your PR application. Here are some steps to consider:
1. Check PNP and IRCC Requirements: First, verify if your current letter of employment aligns with both PNP and IRCC’s requirements, especially regarding the job’s permanence. If your PNP was approved with a “permanent” position, a change in employment status (from permanent to fixed-term) may require an update to the province or IRCC, depending on the guidelines they provided.
2. Notify the Province: Many PNPs require applicants to notify them of any material changes in employment, even if the new job is also permanent but has a delayed start date. Contacting the PNP office and explaining that you’ll have a new position starting in February or March (along with the reason for the delay) might help you avoid issues. Include any offer or letter that confirms the future position. 3. Submit a Letter of Explanation to IRCC: You could submit a Letter of Explanation (LOE) through the web form, detailing the situation and including the offer letter from your new employer. Emphasize that you’ve maintained the intention to work in Canada permanently and will start this role in early 2025.

Hello @Miss bee
I've received AOR last week with ADR - police clearance for my husband.
My husband worked in the Middle East from 2015 to 2020.
After a year, in 2021 he returned in the same country until we migrated here in Canada in 2022. When we requested our pcc we mentioned the entire date he stayed in qatar, however, the pcc that has been issued is only for the last entered and exited in qatar which is (2021 to 2022).
The officer requested for the entire time he spent in qatar and gave us 60 days to submit.

I reached to the qatar embassy in Ottawa and i was i formed that since he entered 2 different periods he need to submit 2 applications for each period and there was a note that the process is 4-6 months.

We submitted our pcc request for 2015 to 2020 the other day to qatar embassy via canada post.

I also submitted letter of explanation via webform with the receipt of canada post, copy of requested letter to qatar embassy and supporting documents as a proof that the additional pcc has been requested.

What happens if i don't get the pcc after 60 days grace period?

Currently the status of my back ground check is in progress - is there any chance they will process my application while waiting for the second pcc or it will be on hold until we submit the pcc?

Thank you

1- Police certificate that I already submited during my submition date
2- CV (resume)
3-All family members from back home country
for me and my spouse.

It's full of pain and frustration.
all my friends that applied a year after me, got their PR. Because their application processed at montreal but mine is processing at Sydney NS!

that's terrible, how do you know what office is processing your application? when I got my AOR it was from Sydney NS, but my understanding is they are the Centralized Intake Office and then they will distribute the profile to another office?
