Hello everyone,

I have a question about BC PNP(non-express entry) suitability. I work in Vancouver for a company with an Ontario head office. We do not have an office in B.C., and I work from home and travel all around the province. I am responsible for any activities of the company in British Columbia. According to my research, I am not clear if I can apply to BC PNP or not. I know the company needs to have an office and should be registered in B.C.; however, there might be an open point as the following part:

"At its sole discretion, the BC PNP may consider your application if your employer does not meet this minimum requirement. However, in order to be considered, your employer must make a sufficiently compelling business case in writing to the BC PNP that demonstrates how your nomination will generate economic benefit to B.C."

Is there anyone who has experienced a similar case? If you can share your experience and advice, I highly appreciate it.

I have a question. I would really appreciate any guidance.
I was replying to Portal 1 email where they asked for details of both me (Primary Applicant) and my husband (dependent).
Do you know what to fill in one of the the fields UCI. They asked for UCI details for me and my husband. Do I need to give my UCI at both places (Primary Applicant UCI) as I am the primary applicant or his separate UCI which was used to other applications in the past, but not here since he was dependent in this one.

Each applicant has a UCI (unique client identifier), so you and your partner will have different ones. Fill in your UCI for yourself as the principal applicant and that of your partner as well. Since you stated that your partner has applied before, he will have a UCI number.

Did you notice that Passport number is same as well as yours?

It's weird, when I am in document menu and select my wife's name the number doesn't change. When I change many to activity and come back to documents it updates after that And I found they are actually different numbers.

I have checked tracker updated today for me I can see the COPR document number, it’s same for me and my wife. Is it okay or it should be different?

It's common, the COPR on AST is same number for PA and dependant. However once you get official eCoPR thru the PR portal, you will see a unique COPR number for PA and for each dependant. Post that in GCkey, status is updated to 'Approved', and within the GCkey Application, you will find all the assessments with positive completion, along with unique COPR there too.

Finally, we got our PR by the grace of God. This was really quick compared to what the timeline is 18 months. Thank you, God.

Below are the details of our file, for your reference. On 15th May they asked for 1 dependent renewed PP copy, if this wasn't expiring I think we would have got our RFV email on 15th May only.

AR- 28th May 2022.
AOR - 17th Nov 2022.
MP - 1st December 2022.
ADR - 15th May 2023 -renewed pp copy for 1 dependant. It was submitted on 15th June.
COPR number appeared on AST on 20th June.
Gc key status update - Final decision -19th June made.
RFV email - 22nd June 2023.
PP submitted - 26th June 2023 Abu Dhabi VO.
Visa issued - 10th July
Landing before 1st December 2023. (Medical expiry date).

As the above point indicates, "in order to be considered, your employer must make a sufficiently compelling business case in writing to the BC PNP that demonstrates how your nomination will generate economic benefit to B.C"


So basically, your employer's should be willing to make strong justifying case, with company documents, official letters with supporting verifiable facts, and how your establishments (in B.C.) generate economic benefit to B.C. If you unsure of what sort of documents are needed because this is not straight forward process, should probably consult with some years of experienced RCIC lawyer, they should know what exactly they (B.C. Provincial Govt) are looking for, and then you check with your employer if they can support you with required documents, and if that is possible, than you proceed further. They reason you may want check with an experienced RCIC lawyer is because after PNP, there is the federal govt (IRCC) who will decide to whether to proceed or not. So it's not just about getting PNP nomination.

I hope other folks who got thru such path/extent sheds more light here on how their journey went, but this forum and you get free internet advice, so you should carefully make your own calculated call.

I got ADR and I am trying to figure out which VO it may come from. The ADR letter doesn't have an office address. It only has the officer ID starting with XY at the end. Does anyone know which office it could be from?

Best way is too call and ask call centre your secondary office. Otherwise request GCMS notes to see accurate information about your application.
