Thanks for your prompt response @Miss bee

Yes I have another work permit ongoing. I applied for two (same employer), only one has been refused. Still waiting on the decision of the other but paid for restoration of status and sent in a webform with evidence of payment, letter of explanation and OINP supporting documents. Can I still work?
What you mean paid restoration fees ? If you applied that before your status expired, you don’t need to pay restoration fees . What kind of work permit did you applied for ?

The first was an extension of my current post graduate open work permit using an LMIA application number. The second was a closed work permit using OINP support documents and employer application number which is still ongoing.

I paid for a restoration of status as required in the refusal document received today, as my status is stated as expiring today irrespective that I have another ongoing application. I am trying to upload the refusal document but don't know how to so used the link https://ibb.co/XV1PL46.

I am so confused...am I still on maintained status? can I still work? Or am I just aloof waiting on the decision of the second application? Apologies for the back and forth

Your decision on first application is made but your second application is still going on . You are still on maintained status . You can keep working as your other application is still in process. Did you attached WPSL with that application?

Hi @Miss bee

Any idea when can I expect the decision on my work permit. It’s been 108 days now. Submitted on May 22nd.

Also, am I eligible to apply for open work permit based on new policy. I have restrictions on my nomination certificate.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/public-policies/work-permits-prospective-pnp-candidats.html
Hello duke, have you gotten any response to this yet? i also want to know if a PNP candidate with an employer specific support letter is eligible to apply for the open work permit.
if anyone has gotten a better understanding about this policy please share as it will be highly usefull

You can attach letter of explanation describing this situation and mention all past refusals. It won’t be any issue. Fill Schedule A form again, then sign it and send it through webform.
Miss bee,
Received an email saying that "your supporting documents are indeed added and available for officer review. "

However, I cannot recall if the border officer gave me the reason of denied entry. Therefore, in my updated schedule A form I only mentioned the time of refusal and that I forgot the name of my destination when border officer asked. I didn't mention that I forget if the border officer gave me the reason of rejection.

I'm not sure by only telling that I forgot the town name will give visa officer the impression that I'm covering up truth? Will this be an issue?
Thank you for your help.

Hi @Miss bee, hope you are doing well. I had a doubt about the IMM5562 Travel History form that I submitted with my application on May 27th (waiting for AOR). I don't have a spouse or common law partner so in this form I had selected "Did not travel" in the spouse section, instead of writing "Not Applicable". Will this be an issue? Thanks in advance

Hi

You have received AOR.?

You don’t need to give details is deep . Just only mention that you were denied entry into this country that’s all you have to type . They have access to all database and they can find all details.

Hi @Miss bee, sorry to bother you with another question. The first time I applied for the PNP, the criminal check from the RCMP that I sent was only name based. When the application was returned, nothing was mentioned about that document so I don't think it was the wrong one, but since then I constantly think if I should have gotten the fingerprints based one instead, because there's no specification when I apply online.

You don’t need to send upfront PCC from RCMP . IRCC has access to all information from RCMP. PCC is not mandatory document.

UPDATE

I called IRCC earlier, the individual I spoke with explained that because the first application was refused it takes me back to my prior status (post graduate work permit) which is now expired hence the need to apply for a restoration of status. She further stated that I did not need to fill another application since I had a second one ongoing but send in a letter of explanation with the receipt of payment for the restoration of status which I did yesterday. Also, she confirms that I do not have the right to work until a decision has been made on the second application so I would just take a leave of absence effective today. Thanks everyone for your help.

Is it possible to apply for closed work permit by flagpolling?

My driver license will expire next month and pgwp will expire in December. Applying CWP online might take 4-6months.

ServiceOntario are not helpful when it comes to explaining these situations.

I applied for PR as well as for work permit for me and my spouse and TRV for my child. Today i received a correspondence letter stating that our applications were refused and the reasons were as follows for me:

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 200(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/
section-200.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.
• You were not able to demonstrate that you will be able to adequately perform the work
you seek.

For my spouse:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 200(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/
section-200.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

For my child:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/
section-179.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

What should i do next? @Miss bee
