Hi @Miss bee

Hope you are doing good

Biometrics and medicals updated and i have submitted my ADR-PCC successfully also received PAL as well

What i can expect next..?

Thanks
Here are the steps you can expect as your Permanent Residence (PR) application progresses after reaching your current stage:

1. Final Review by IRCC
• The IRCC officer will review your application to ensure all documents, including your ADR-PCC, biometrics, medicals, and other submissions, meet the requirements.
• No further action is needed from your side unless IRCC requests additional information or clarification.

2. Eligibility & Background Checks
• Eligibility Check: Verifies that you meet the program-specific requirements (e.g., work experience, education, etc.).
• Background Check: Ensures security, criminality, and admissibility requirements are satisfied.

3. Approval and Confirmation of PR (COPR)
• Once the review is completed, IRCC will issue the Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) if your application is approved.
• This document serves as proof of your PR status and is essential for the landing process.

4. Photo Submission for PR Card
• After receiving your COPR, IRCC may ask you to submit a recent photo for your PR card. Follow their instructions carefully.

5. Landing Process
• If you are outside Canada, you will use your COPR and valid visa (if needed) to enter Canada. Upon entry, a border officer will finalize your PR process.
• If you are inside Canada, you may be invited to complete the PR landing via a virtual landing process or an in-person appointment.

6. PR Card Issuance
• After completing the landing process, your PR card will be mailed to the Canadian address you provide. This typically takes a few weeks.

7. Post-PR Steps

• Update your status with your employer, health insurance provider, and other agencies.
• If applicable, renew your Social Insurance Number (SIN) to reflect your PR status.

@Miss bee hey I just wanna know how much more time will it take on my file.
Med approve on Sept 22
ADR request on Sept 25 which i submitted the same day and after that I have no seen any updates on my file it's just says We are reviewing the additional documents you provided that's all nothing after this no updates till today. What should I expect is my file having issue or delayed or I am on right track
Based on the timeline and details you’ve shared, your PR application seems to be progressing normally, though the waiting can feel long. Here’s what your current status suggests and what you can expect next:

1. Medicals Approved (Sept 22):
• This indicates that the health requirement has been successfully cleared—a good sign.

2. ADR Requested and Submitted (Sept 25):
• When IRCC requests additional documents, it usually means your application is under active review. After submission, the status “We are reviewing the additional documents you provided” means they have received the documents and are assessing them.

3. No Updates Since Then:
• The lack of updates after submitting the ADR is common. Background checks (security, criminality, and eligibility) can take several months, depending on the complexity of your case, IRCC’s workload, and any inter-agency verifications.

Your file does not appear to have any issues based on the information provided. The ongoing “review” status is typical, as IRCC works on eligibility and background checks, which can be time-intensive.

• Processing Timelines:
Non-Express Entry applications generally take 18–24 months to complete. If your medicals were approved in September, you are likely in the mid-to-final stages of processing. Delays after ADR submission can occur due to the following reasons:

• IRCC requires more time for background checks
• They are working on a backlog or high volume of applications.

You’re on the right track. Delays at this stage are often due to internal processing, and you are likely in the final stages of your application.

Hello @Miss bee

In my GC Key under the eligibility status it is showing that "We are reviewing weather you meet the eligibility requirements or not" and on tracker it is showing that "Eligibility not started".

What is the meaning of this and which one would be accurate? GC Key or Tracker?

Thanks,

HI

My Pr allpication is in progress and is already on background check stage. my previous employer gave me documents for RNIP, which i used to apply for Pr. I needed to resign for health issues.
My last daw was NOV 30.

RNIP emailed me today dec 5 that they revoked my endorsement letter and that they will update IRCC too:. I am worried what will happen to my ongoing PR application.

Please help.

The difference between the GCKey account and the PR application tracker can sometimes cause confusion because they pull data from IRCC’s system in slightly different ways

GCKey: “We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements or not”
This status indicates that the eligibility review is currently in progress. However, it does not provide real-time updates and often reflects a general status rather than a specific milestone.

The PR tracker is designed to show more granular and real-time updates. “Eligibility not started” typically means that the officer has not yet begun the formal review of your application.
The PR Tracker is generally considered more accurate for tracking specific stages of the process. Since it shows “Eligibility not started,” it’s likely that the eligibility review has not officially begun, even though GCKey reflects a more generic status.

Hello @ Miss Bee,
Please, is there anyone who applied under OINP International Student Route here?.

How long does it take for the application to be approved for PR?.
My status has been Decision in Progress for almost two months now. I submitted my application on July 27th, 2024 yet it has not been approved till now.
I need your timely response on the next thing to do as my PGWP is expiring early April 2025.
I applied together with my 4 children

I hope someone can answer my situation. My BOWP (Bridging Open Work Permit) was refused today, and the status says 'expired on December 5.' However, I also submitted a Closed Work Permit (LMIA-exempt) application today, December 5. Do you think I am on implied status, or do I need to restore my status?
Thank you.

When did your actual work permit expired?

When did your actual work permit expired?
Hi, my work permit expired on August 22 2024, but I was issued a work permit extension until January 11, 2025. Unfortunately, it was refused today, December 5, and I was informed that my status has expired as of today. The reason for the refusal of my BOWP was stated as a cancellation of my Provincial Nomination. However, when I contacted the province that nominated me, they confirmed that my nomination was not canceled. As a result, I submitted an LMIA-exempt closed work permit application today December 5. May I kindly ask if I am currently on implied status, or do I need to apply for restoration? Thank you very much.

1. Your Status Expiration: Since your work permit extension was refused and you were informed that your status expired as of December 5, 2024, you are now considered to have lost your temporary resident status in Canada.
2. Submitting an LMIA-Exempt Closed Work Permit: Unfortunately, submitting a new work permit application after losing status does not place you on implied status. You are required to restore your status before your new work permit application can be processed.

3. Restoration of Status:
• You must apply for restoration of status within 90 days of losing your status (in your case, by March 4, 2025)
• When applying for restoration, you should explain the situation (e.g., the refusal of your BOWP and confirmation from the province that your nomination was not canceled).
• Restoration must be submitted along with your LMIA-exempt work permit application if not already done.

4. Next Steps:
• Ensure you submit a restoration of status application immediately if you have not done so yet.
• You can submit a single application for both restoration and a new work permit using the appropriate online process.

5. Key Notes:
• While awaiting the outcome of your restoration and work permit application, you cannot work or study in Canada.
• Be prepared to provide proof that your Provincial Nomination is still valid, as this might be critical to resolving the confusion around your BOWP refusal.

There is no timeline when it comes to security part . Security assessment is most time consuming and it’s done by third parties. If lucky you can get in 2 months but if you go under comprehensive security checks, then it can take forever.
