It doesnt matter whether you pay the courier fee now or later. You can pay now

In how many days will they receive?

If your college is in Asian region, about 3-4 weeks. Mine took 20 days.

Best to wind up all the fees etc now. Get working on finalizing the application. Keep everything ready to go in the meanwhile, as soon as you get the ECA report. Send your application package.

I called my institution today they said once they recieve the mail from ecfmg and after completing they will hand over to me 'sealed envelope' so that i can courier. But i came to know that the courier service ask us the id of sender. Will it matter if i send it by showing the id afterall its a sealed envelope by college?
Has anyone faced the same problem???

Did u gave your NIC copy and they put the scanned on their envelope? Or it was of the principal?

The university has sent my documents to ECFMG, but in the meantime the university has received the second mail that ECFMG has sent (resent the documents because the first mail wasn't sent within 60 days).

Now, I need an advice whether I should ask the university to send the second mail to (all the docssigned and stamped) and get sure that it will be sent via courier, so the second mail will SURELY arrive before the first one (since the first documents were sent via regular mail).

Will ECFMG have problems if they receive 2 package of documents on my behalf?

Documents "Reviewed and Accepted" today

I got this message at physiciansapply : "This is to inform you that the following credential document has been reviewed and accepted, and will be sent to ECFMG for source verification."

You have to visit ecfmg.org and read about the various services they offer in detail.

1. EPIC (ECFMG EPIC) - Electronic Portfolio of International Credentials for individuals
2. ECIS (ECFMG ECIS) - ECFMG International Credentials Services for organizations.
3. ECFMG/USMLE number which you will have if you have applied for USMLE examinations or ECFMG certification in the past.


All the above ask for source verification of transcripts and/or medical diploma at some point.

MCC is using the service of ECFMG ECIS! so MCC will generate an ECIS number for you after your application. This number can be found on the profile tab, identifiers section. You will also find other identifiers like candidate number and MINC number here.

If you have previously source verified your medical diploma via any of the three products above, your ECIS request made by MCC will be connected to your records with ECFMG and process is faster because they will not resend documents to your medical school.

Let me know if I should try harder.....

I have shared my USMLE / ECFMG / OASIS account information with MCC at physiciansapply. What else do I have to do so that ECFMG does not have to send my SVR to my Medical College ?
