NOC 2281 for FSWP in 2014, Let's network here

Hello Everyone,

How are you? I raed your message about the last dates to apply under NOC 2281, in which you mentioned that it will ends till APRIL 2015.Sir i am little confused about the cap latest update,from last month it shows 242 count.
I sent my docs for WIS before 10 days,I have my IELTS test on 22nd NOV .So, by the end of NOV i shall apply for my second step.
Sir Please let me know how risky it is?

We are all assuming and translating the data in our own ways. To be honest, end of Nov looks difficult, bu I would suggest you should still try and take chance. On the other hand, effective 1st Jan 2015 - express entry will start, but no one knows who and how will candidates be evaluated. Its completely your call... Good Luck with your decision

I don't think at this moment 2281 is normal NOC.

It has been now in Hottest Category after 2174 NOC is being filled by (May to Early July Applications] and those who are out of CAP are now applying for this Category. 2171 is also going to be filled very soon and this will again impact 2281.

I would say 2281 is only safe till 1st Week of November 2014.

But it's only our assumptions. It's worth a try but the more early the more better.

I have a quick question on your assessment. Even though there will be an influx from aspirants of NOC 2174 and NOC 2171, not all of their applications will be valid unless and until they prove that their duties match with NOC 2281. That won't be very easy thing to do since they would need to go back to their employers and make changes to their experience letter or employment verification letter which will be a tough task. Again I believe CIC WON"T JUST ACCEPT any applications submitted for NOC 2281 and look for the main point of NOC 2281 duties matching with experience letter and other documents to support NOC 2281, correct? I am not sure if CIC accepts an application under NOC 2281 just going by the experience letter to support it. They will also look at the overall application to CONFIRM that this applicant INDEED matches requirements for NOC 2281, correct? I woudl really appreciate if you could provide our thoughts on this, thank you!

I think 2281 should be fine until November end. Clarity shall prevail as and when the next CAP update occurs.

Until then, everything is nothing but 'speculation'.

Please direct all your queries to below forum. The ADMIN of this forum (KSA0510) is really a helpful guy and answers almost every query. Of Course, you should should use it cautiously, you alone are responsible for your NOC application anyways ;D. Though it is hard to predict , but still I believe till mid of November applicants are safe to be in cap.

Though it is probably safe to apply until November end, I would suggest you weigh your options well before you decide to do so.

Also, Jan 'may' bring an end to the FSW 2014 process so have that cushion in hand as well and make sure you don't push it too much as far as submission dates are concerned.

From CIC website:

"As of May 1, 2014, there is an overall cap of 25,500 for new federal skilled worker applications. This includes a cap of 500 applications from PhD students. There are also sub-caps of 1,000 for each of the 50 eligible occupations. The caps do not affect people with a valid job offer. These are the last applications we will accept under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015."

But I've hear that Officially FSW2104 program is up to April 30th 2015 as per ministerial instructions, unless cut short by a new instruction.

I recommend you to keep focused in the Dec 31st deadline.... Better safe than sorry....
