I've got 10 yrs of experience in Advertising and worked in 5 different companies, at different levels.

do i need to tweak the job responsibilities for each company
or can i make it same across all the companies which is close to 85% of the JD given in the CIC ?? Any sample formats to know the difference from one company to other iam so confused, any body has got any samples??

I need help from you since you are also from the same NOC 1123

I was working as Account Supervisor in XYZ company which is equivalent to Accoung Manager but in the company I worked Managers are called supervisors, just that the term is different,
while the NOC says Account Manager so how do I prove that Manager and Supervisor are same. I cannot change it to Account Manager in the experience letter as my company terms would not agree for it.

So should i ask my ex-boss to add a line that "it is equivalent to Superviosor " ?? Please suggest??

Hi, there's no need to change your designation as titles don't matter. Titles may be different from company to company, what matters most are your duties. The duties stated on your reference letter must match those stated in the NOC website up to 80%. All the best.

1) What is full time Is it 40 hrs a week or 48 hrs a week ? i don't work on sat and Sundays. During week days - 9.30 to 5.30..

I have just received my online ECA report from WES Canada.

It says my education Canadian Equivalency Summary is Bachelor’s Degree (four years).

Please let me know how many points will I get for my education under FSWP 2014 point scoring criteria?

5 days x 8 hours = 40 hours a week or commonly called Full Time Equivalent.

10 years is significant experience. Of these, the last 2 or 3 years, if your job description meets the JD in the NOC 1123 - it will be fine. Don't worry. Don't "tweak" anything please. If you are even slightly dishonest, AND they find out - it can mean the difference between getting into Canada and rejection. Also remember, you will be working there and people will ask for references which can be checked. Lying/Tweaking will get you into trouble. You will be in Canada and with no work I don't know if that is a better than your current situation but I would not take that chance. Since you are working for over 10 years and seem to be Indian - you are most likely married and have kids (which is a BIG assumption but can complicate matters even more, if you understand what I mean).

you got me wrong. i am giving you an example for what i meant by tweaking..as an executive, i did the job on my own. once i become a account supervisor, i will have my team do that..

for account executive : Develop and implement advertising campaigns appropriate for print or electronic media

For account supervisor: Motivate and supervise a team to develop and implement advertising campaigns appropriate for print or electronic media

BTW i got married last year and no kids yet... I wont take risk either ways
