Sent out the 200+ page documentation today. Surprised that the actual forms were only around 15 pages but the total documentation (Passports, NRIC, Birth Certificates, Marriage Certificate, Salary Proof, Bank Statement, Recommendation Letter, Service Records etc) was in excess of 100 pages. I found the overall package very confusing to submit and spent quite a lot of time going through each paper and filled in data point. It took me and my wife close to 60 days (including a 2 week vacation that was planned very much in advance) to check the documents and proof read everything in it. Then we prepared a cover letter that documents why we were applying from Singapore and listed out the document (NRIC) that we submitted to support VO=Singapore. Have been working in a MNC for the past 8 years, Five (5) of the most recent years have been spent in Marketing and Planning. I found my job title in the NOC 2011 under 1123, also have supporting documentation and records for Six (6) years work experience in NOC 2011 under 0125 and additional two (2) years under Systems (5121). Have not sent PCC, just sent my bank statement copy for Proof of Funds. ECA was done through WES some 3/4 months ago and that was easy and effortless (considering all the negative feedback on WES) but I have degree from Ireland so it might have been a different game altogether. Anyone needs any other information that might help them process their stuff, please ask. God Bless all hopefuls and may he grant you your wishes soon. See ya in Canada in a couple of years, folks! Hi Zinger19,

If you look at the Excel sheet on the FSW 2014 applications, you will find 4 applications received by CIC - so there are 994 chances for you to send in your application. ( my application is reaching them today, also Captain Jahangir, above, might have sent one too). There is plenty of time - relax, the deadline is somewhere in 2015 or whenever the cap of 1000 accepted applications for 1123 is filled or the overall cap of 25000 accepted applications is filled. Going by the rate, last 4 months only 4 applications in 1123 but 500 overall (both numbers are estimated on this forum). Follow up with WES via phone - they do a quick job normally.

Ok, i will work towards packaging my documents and give it a good trial..
Meanwhile, what are our chances of securing a good job in this field? am in Integrated Marketing Communications with 9 years experience in my home country. Its a game of chance i know but is it worth taking?

good that a fellow member has opened a separate link for our NOC ... i guess this NOC has very few applicants ... the ss shows only a handful people around 20 have applied ....

Hi, it's a good risk to take especially for those who will be able to integrate quickly with excellent spoken English and additional professional skills. I have many friends who have settled into successful lives over in Canada in different fields and the key to their success is having additional professional qualifications. It's better to obtain these qualifications in your home country as trying to get them in Canada can be very expensive. You can check out current job vacancies in your field using these sites; Monster, indeed, Workopolis, Wow jobs, Canada Job bank etc. All the best

I tend to take one step at a time. I researched Canada first, then my occupation and job opportunities and then applied. But, after reading so many posts, I am fearing they will send back my package for completeness. There's nothing to it now, but to wait & watch. At this stage, losing nails is useless.. I am just taking it easy. Life's not been too harsh but it's never been smooth sailing ever, don't expect it too change much. Will take it as it comes.. Meanwhile Pipi's husband's resources are worth looking up, but most friends in CA have said, no F2F interview or PR, getting a job in my field is a rarity...

I love an optimist for I am one too. For every success story, there will be one that's of hardship. I have many friends in Canada, some born there, some migrated, some successful, some moderate, some failures. Most of what I have seen & heard points to personal determination & a certain amount of luck. All in All, Canada is a great country to migrate to. Everyone is different, therefore what fits one might not be the right thing for another. Every person should do their own research(this board is a good place to start) & make their own call. That's the best way. I wouldn't blindly follow anyone anywhere, risk or no risk.
