Hi,

My wife's uncle is Canadian citizen and i am going to claim points against that. However, it was mentioned in the guide that we need to provide birth certificate of my wife's father and uncle to prove the relationship. Can anybody have any idea if birth certificate is not available what else can be accepted to CIC????? We have other documents like education certificates, passport, etc. in which father name is mentioned.

Hi, the Document Checklist clearly states that birth certificates are the acceptable means of proof of relationship but you can give it a try with 10th grade school certificates which should carry mutual parents name. All the best.

There's an even newer update (1 day after the last one):
Total CIC Apps: 5,223 out of 25,000
2174: Capped at 1000 :o :o

Looks like 1112 may be next.

Can you give us the expected cap reach date for 1112?

Hi All,

my application reached on June 30th and yet to get response. :(

But some of them are posting here that DD encashed. I have sent DD only, how to know if my DD is encashed and my application has been accepted.

Dear Bmanikandan,

From which entry you have confirmed that 30th June applicants are started getting charged as i can not see any entry in Spreadsheet, i am also 30th June applicant and as per my calculations CIC will start charging 30th June Applicants by the end of this week only as we are DD applicants that extend our wait time more as most of the DD applicants have been charged in the period of 115 to 125 days from the day of application received. So please do not panic and keep a close eye on SS entries. Best of Luck.

Hey,

Yes, I did. I erred on the side of caution and sent everything they asked for and even some things they didn't, lol. Most of the suggestions actually came from this forum (thanks guys ;)). Sent original PCC, offer letter, 4 months pay slip, business card of both person signing experience letter and myself. I even went so far as to include 6 months bank statements for almost all accounts being shown as POF, a printout from online banking showing my sole loan balance & maturity date, a printed spreadsheet showing these balances in original currency as well as converted to CAD (using xe.com rates) and a copy of membership certificates for professional organisations noted on the form. I left nothing to chance. The only thing I didn't do was notarize copies, just plain photocopies were sent (some in black & white, some in colour). When I got Medical Request, the only document KVO asked for was the Original birth certificate.

Also, I sent you a PM.

No wonder you got through so quick. I didn't send PCC with application. However ive since done it. The probably sidestepped the background Check for you. I'm still hoping for the best. I did send in a lot of extra stuff too. Hopeful

Hello everyone, I'm a Chartered Accountant working in Pakistan. We have a 4 years full time mandatory training period (article ship). I just want to know whether it will be counted as my work experience for the purpose of FSW application?

I don't think that it will be counted as work experience as in many other cases also, pre-qualification training is not counted in work experience. Atleast not when it comes to Chartered Accountancy.
