NOC 0123 - Advice on Job Title

I am currently working as 'Technical Manager' for last 2 months. Before that I was working in US as a software engineer. Even before that (within last 10 years only) -- I worked as 'Team Lead' for more than a year in India and performed some of the duties mentioned in NOC 0213 duties listed on HRSDC website.

Question --
1. Do I qualify for Fed Skilled Worker category?
2. Will a letter from my old manager (who is not in that company anymore) stating my roles suffice with my application? -- OR do I need the letter from the company HR.
3. I do have the basic experience letter from that company stating I was TEAM LEAD without any details of duties performed. Will that PLUS letter from old manager suffice?

* Yes - You do qualify for FSW
2. Will a letter from my old manager (who is not in that company anymore) stating my roles suffice with my application? -- OR do I need the letter from the company HR.
* You need the Reference Letter from the Company Letter head with the sign of the HR stating your roles and responsibilities
3. I do have the basic experience letter from that company stating I was TEAM LEAD without any details of duties performed. Will that PLUS letter from old manager suffice?
* You need managerial roles for a period of minimum of 1 year so if you have 1 year of exp as (Team lead + Technical Manager) = 1 Year then it suffices the needs.
You can go ahead and apply to CIO

Can not say for sure unless you mention that you job duties are more or less same as mentioned under 0213. You mentioned "performed some of the duties mentioned in NOC 0213 " which is not enough. you need to prove beyond doubt your Managerial duties as mentioned under 0213

You need a letter on company letter head. I assume your old boss can not do that so you need one by HR

No. You need an official letter, this may be a work around which may not convince IO

Yes you can but it may not convince the Immigration Officer. Also this guy may call your company for verification

If you do not have reference letter then there are other ways to prove your job duties but I am not sure if IO will be convinced or not.

These are job duties I performed. Will appreciate if you can verify my suitability.

Following are the job duties I performed on various projects I worked for:

Project 1
1. Discuss product requirements, specifications with client.
2. Participate in project planning and deciding timelines for various features.
3. Coordinated the requirement gathering , implementation of the product between distributed teams.
4. Participated in creation of functional specifications, design documents and implementation of the product.
5. Mentoring and supervizing of the new team members for their training and induction in the product.

Project 2
1. Design and plan a "*****" product.
2. Organized and lead team of engineers to implement the "*****" product POC.
3. Supervised engineers for requirement gathering, designing and implementing the "*****" product POC.

galacticallycanadian, in my personal opinion these duties are not convincing for 0213. Others may differ so lets wait for more opinion

IMO, you should have duties like plan, direct and control, hiring, training recommendation, budget control etc also added to your Main duties

From many threads in this forum I believe people mentioned that 0213 cateogy canditate sould be involved in budgets and effort estimation.

your roles wha you have mentioned looks like team lead level....
