So following a bureaucratic issue after a marriage abroad, our marriage certificates and the copies have been sent all over the country from one department to the other pending registration. From what I understood, if we get an ITA we'll have to submit proof of marriage in the country we got married at which is different from the country we live in.
I'm still trying to track them down at the moment to at least retrieve a copy.
1- Is there no chance for them to accept the marriage registration issued by my home country?
2- If I'm able to procure a scan of the copy would that be enough? Will I need to show them my original certificate somewhere down the line?
