Hi
I'd like to apply for Indian PCC at the VFS office at Brampton. Do we have to include any self-addressed envelopes for the return of our passports & the PCC (or) can we pick up our Passports & PCC in person at the brampton office when the PCC is ready?

You can pickup your PCC in person hence no need for an envelope. I dont think you need to submit your original passport for PCC application.Atleast they did not ask me to submit the original passport.
Carry the passport with you to VFS. They will check and return there itself.

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone is doing fine. I have one question regarding PCC which is below. Please reply who ever has idea and thanks in advance for your time

I am applying for my Permanent residency under CEC. I have already taken Canadian PCC but not from India. Can i send without Indian PCC ?
What is the process of getting PCC from INDIA ?

Thanks,
Abhi

Abhi:
Are you applying from India? If applying from Canada, no need of Canada PCC at all by us as per guide on CIC website.
Any specific reason for submitting Canada PCC ?

India PCC takes 6 weeks as per Indian Consulate in Toronto and VFS timelines.

VFS checklist says that the photograph should be 35X35, is it so important or can I just take the ones I have with dimensions 35X45?

Hello All,

I just read through the thread, Thanks for keeping everyone informed. I am applying this week through Calgary VFS in Vancouver jurisdiction. Just have one basic query : How does the PCC look like ? Does it generically state that No issues found for stay in India ? or does it break down with the state/addresses that you have resided in or mentioned in form for India.

I bet it would be generic, seeing how our Indian system works ;)

If the answer is 'Yes', additionally, it would make sense to just mention 1 address/home address where you have stayed for majority of time.

Kindly guide.

Its very generic. it does not mention any address. Just your name, date of birth and your father's name.

I am going to CGI tomorrow to apply for PCC and DOB together. The following are the documents which I am talking along with me. Please confirm if anything is missing.

1. My most recent WP (my spouse does not have a visitor record since her details are mentioned on my WP)
2. Passport copies along with originals
3. PCC & DOB application forms
4. DD for $28 each
5. Marriage certificate
6. 1 photograph of 35X35
7. 2 return Xpress post envelopes.(does anyone know what size should I take?)

Envelopes that can accommodate 2 passports, 2 pages of A4 Size PCC's and 2 pages of A4 Size Certificate of DOB (IN RETURN).

Andy, my spouse does not have a PCC but her details are clearly on my WP. Is this ok for CGI to accept her PCC application?

If I understand correctly what you want to say is that your spouse does not have a WP but her details are mentioned on your WP. It is good enough.

You are good with filing PCC application for her too.
