No Indian PCC even after 8 weeks

CGI at Toronto will not accept any application form. they will ask you to submit through VFS.

When i applied for PCC, i have given only one Address which is there in my passport. but i have lived in many places. so, i got my PCC with in a week.

PR_Applicant, is it not safe to write the same address history when submitting the PCC app form as we mentioned in the CEC App form?

1) CGI Toronto will not accept application for PCC, you will have to apply only at VFS Brampton
2) Give only the recent (latest) address that you resided in India.

Note:
1) You will need FBI PCC for your stay in USA.
2) You need not submit Canada PCC upfront. CIC will direct you to get one at a later stage (only if need be)

Hello All,

As i told earlier, That if you want quick PCC please go to CGI in person after 6 weeks and with printed itenary to show that you have flight and you need both passport and PCC right now. they will give you same day

Does it mean, we need to really book tickets to India and cancel right after getting PCC or we can just take any friend's ticket email copy and change names and go with a print ? If its the first option, I guesswe will lsoe almost whole ticket charges as we need to cancel on same day for same day's flight.

But, lets wait for members' response who already submitted this form for PCC.

Write 'NO'. The question is whether you have visited India after getting PR status or foreign nationality.

When we apply for both Certificate of Birth & PCC at the Indian consulate, do we need to submit a return envelope as well? In addition, are the below list of documents correct?

1. Current passport with copy of the relevant pages.
2. Photocopy of immigration document.
3. Demand Draft for $20.
4. 1 recent colour photograph of 35 mm x 35 mm with white/light background

per info i got from my friends,

1. consulate given certificate of DOB will not be accepted by CIC.
2. other points you mentioned is right. need to provide those. passport original and photo copy, color photo, xerox of current immig doc like work permit.
3. you can pay fee there in VFS using credit card.

I need the Cert of DOB for a different purpose and consulate told me that I can apply with them and not VFS if I need both PCC and Cert of DOB at the same time.

Can someone please advise if I can pay by cash or credit card as well at the consulate?

Consulate neither accepts cash nor credit card. Only Bank Draft / Money Order / Certified Cheque.

You can very well apply at CGI if you ar applying for PCC AND Birth certifcate ( together only) and they do nto accept any cash and you need to get DD or money order.
