My people, I just checked my inbox and saw the above mail. In other words, my MR has arrived. :D :D :D :D :D

I'd also like to use this opportunity to share this piece of information with the house. Actually, I've been waiting for my MR to come before sharing the news. As much as I am very happy that my MR has come in, I won't be doing the medicals just yet because I am pregnant! My husband will also have to wait for me so that our medical dates can synchronize. Therefore, I'll be communicating to AVO via our representative/lawyer of my condition. So for now, e be like say my application go enter ''snooze'' for now! ;D ;D ;D :p :p :p :p

Cheers,
NwaMarie

African and Asian Brothers / Sisters – I need your help on a situation I have.

Problem – I have two extra middle names on my original birth certificate that I did not carry over to all my other official documents – Passport, work permit, transcripts etc. Asians and I believe Africans can sometimes relate to this issue: Many names at birth that become impractical to carry on hence only 2 or three along with the last names makes it past the first document (birth certificate). I got my package back as I believe it’s because of the extra middle names on the BC that did not tally with the passport (more accurately absent) Last name and the other names I use match what’s on the passport and tallys with the remaining names on BC.

How do I resolve this issue? Who has resolved this issue successfully on the forum and can provide tips to help? I don’t want to send documents back only to get it back again.

Thanks Kollins. I always admire your proactive nature. The pregnancy still dey early oh, so I do not want to take chances. I'm really being careful. But like you said, one step at a time. May God direct my path. Will keep you posted.
Having an X-ray during pregnancy is generally considered safe. It's highly unlikely that a diagnostic X-ray during pregnancy will harm a developing baby even at the early stages....which is your fear....guess first trimester.
The X-ray test — including those of the arms, legs, head, teeth or chest — will not expose your reproductive organs to radiation, besides, a leaded apron (shield) and collar can be worn to block any scattered radiation. The exception is abdominal X-rays, which expose your abdomen — and your baby — to radiation.
High doses of radiation can cause changes in a baby's rapidly growing cells. In turn, it's possible that these changes could slightly increase a baby's risk of birth defects or certain cancers, such as leukemia, later in life. Remember, however, that the typical dose of radiation associated with a diagnostic X-ray — even one of the abdomen or pelvis — doesn't pose this risk.
From experience of applicants that have done(we need our early applicants that did medicals to confirm),the xray test is not abdomen xray but chest xray which is safe.
Like I say,you might want to see the medical doctor in charge of it to seek advice before concluding .....who knows, you might have your baby in Canada(since it's early stage now)......you will be a PR holder while your baby will be a full blooded Canadian by birth :D
Cheers.

Well I feel you...early pregnancy is a critical stage...but in a good place and the shield it can be done...also the xray dose that enters the body is far below what can harm the baby...but like you said get God's direction it is well...congrats once again

You can go to court and swear an affidavit that it is the same person and include among ur documents.

A sworn affidavit of your name is enough to make things right.
In doing the affidavit ,make sure you make a list of all your names on your birth certificate with reference to the rest of your official documents to show that you are the same identity.
I really do not expect them to return you documents because of this issue because i expected you to have listed these other names in your birth certificate as your other names which you are known for in some of the forms which ask for it......i know there is a provision for it.
Are you really sure this was the reason why it was returned? What does the explanation letter that came with your returned application says?
Whatever,a detail sworn affidavit will solve the issue .......but please look beyond the inconsistency of these names as a reason for your returned application as other things may be involved.
Cheers.

Yes,it is really something one must try to avoid• I thought that it is 6 months before expiration? Is it now one year? This is the greatest of my concern because I am the one in question , if the PRV expiry date is august 2015 as per the date the passport will expire , if I renew my passport ,and inform Accra that my passport has been renewed and I am requesting that my PRV expiry change from the date of old passport expiry date to the one year of medical; is this feasible? This is majorly because I have a schedule for august 2015 which I really have to attend as the most important person•

Has anyone heard or read anything similar?
[/quote

I think it's still 6mths though. I'll advise u take a deep breath first and think it through. Since u till have more than 6 mths left and at the rate at which AVO is going, we may all get our passports bck b4 end of first quarter next year. The most reasonable thing is do landing early and then come bck for ur engagement.
Except there's another workable advise from anyone.
