Hi guys,

So am asking this question for a friend of mine.

He applied to three different provinces.

His NOC code on his EE profile is the same with the NOC he used in applying for to 2 of the provinces.

However, he had to use a different NOC code which was in demand in the third province as his current NOC was not on the demand list.

All three provinces have acknowledged the receipt of his applications and his application in one of the province is even ''In process''.

Now his dilemma is what happens if he changes his NOC code to that different one he used in one of the provinces, say province A and then province B checks his profile out or something and notices the discrepancy in NOCs. Won't that pose a problem?

At what point should he swap the NOCs.

Please help my friend out with this as i really do not think i have the right answers for him.

Thanks y'all.

There have been many debates and opinions about POF and there are several threads too. You should try to read them.

Regarding your questions;

1. Exchange rate that would used is the official government rate which is around 198-199 if am not mistaken.

2. POFs is defined as money you can easily access so i don't think pension count for such, in my own opinion your account either savings or current showed be submitted showing the required funds and if possible more. In addition to that you can now add Valued-Landed property by recognised agents to support if you like. But again this is my personal opinion.

Best is to have the cash in your account.

Pension funds as POF will be a great discussion point soon.

An SINP applicant got nominated today, he applied July 20 and got additional docs request - 'Letter from ARM Pensions explaining what access the applicant has to his pension before retirement' Check his profile here:

I have asked that he share a sample of the letter and will post once he or she responds...

If anything, it validates the fact that SINP accepts pension funds.

Cheers

Wish you the very best and welcome in advance to the pool.

Can anybody please help me clarify if bank account statement is verified.
Thanks.
all banks do have an account verification department which liaises with the embassies if any account info confirmation is required.
that being said, cic does not verify everything that comes before them, they do it randomly and if the account document or any other document raises suspicion in the mind of the reviewing agent.

Hello Nigerians,

I have a question pls. I see many people applying for provincial nominations and many other recommending it. But looking at all the PNP's except Ontario and PEI, the others have criteria for qualification. For instance connection to them through study or family, some hold information sessions, etc. Saskatchewan for instance has a 60/100 cut off, which someone with one year experience and no family connection cannot reach. Please, help clarify this confusion. How are people able to apply for these PNPs?

I would advice you check Saskachewan again, also manitoba if you have family members also you can check new brunswick site and see if you can attend an information sessions because usually share the venues and advice on how to attend

Thank you flakkyk. For Saskatchewan, my points are 52/100 which isn't up to the 60 points min. No connections to Manitoba unfortunately. I will look into the others as you said. Thank you again.

Hello my Naija people! Not sure if this is the right place to post this. Please who knows the best way to get CAD at a great exchange rate? A family friend who just got their PR need to convert their settlement funds to CAD and have seen someone willing to do it at the rate of #290 to 1 CAD. Has anyone seen a better rate in the last 1-2 weeks? Should they wait/look elsewhere or just go for this? Will appreciate opinions from anyone working in a bank or who has a recent experience with banks/malams/ BDCs. Thanks!
