@ Kayb,my condolences,pls.Life goes on

@ Dauaye,
I do not know wether its very wise to tell Accra that u have changed jobs.Perhaps the guru's on the forum can guide u better. But u can email accra visa office-accra.immigration @ international.gc.ca Cheers

@ Consider carefully the choice to update at this stage considering the several delays in the process these days and the promised new regulations for release in January 2013. If its possible to continue on the strength of the information they have for now ...pls do so. I pray either way you will receive the good news of your visa very soon.

I got 6k dollars with me and the rest on my skye bank visa dollars card i used it all over world to wildraw from atm want to know if that will be okay i cant hold 12,000 dollars cash,so i wanna have 6k cash and the rest on my card.
Is that okay?pls advice.

Thanks.

@Jameslew45 please take with you the money , many people i knew travelling with families had more than this and they took with them. I have heard horror stories of people delayed several hours because of what you are trying todo. Just take it with you and declare at each port of entrance on your way. The only place they ever ask how did you come about 12k USD will be Nigeria Airports- believe me .

If for anything you still dont want anybody to know -take with you 990USD ( no need to declare) and then raise the balance on a CAD bankdraft which you can then use to open an account here in Canada. When you get to the Border Controls in Canada present the cash plus the draft as POF.

I hope i have added value.

Seconded. In addition, it's not just the norm in Nigeria, but the Law. Once you have $10,000 or more,in any currency, you are required to declare it. It does not matter which country you are travelling to.

Thanks for the correction about the norm. It is actually the law under the Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing.

morning to u all

and thank u all

u are all so nice and warm

Thanks again everyone and I say a big amen to all the prayers.

Could anyone please tell me the local options available for payment of the RPRF.
Are their banks in Nigeria where one can issue a bank draft or certified cheque in Canadian or US dollars; or Ghanian Cedis?

@ Dmaks I sent you a PM please reply ASAP
