I greet everyone in da house. Please I like to share a conversation I had with my hubby's friend dis evening.

D guy called to know what's up with our PR application, and I told him dat presently on our forum, it's MI1 that Accra is attending to now.. And he said a friend of his dat applied in jan2011 has gotten his visa. He said d guy used Campbell Cohen as his consultant . So my question is, Does Accra give special preference to immigration lawyers?

gel003, i don't think they do give preference to applicants that use consultants, and that is also clearly stated on their website, that there is no preferential treatment to applicants that used consultants. I equally have a friend that applied shortly after me who used a consultant though not Cohen but another Immigration Lawyer and his application is still stuck at RBVO.
Your hubby's friend probably must have been one of those early MI2 whose applications were processed before they stopped further processing on MI2. You will recall that there are many early MI2 applicants that have landed, so he may have fallen under that category. Lets continue to pray and watch.

Dear Papa and Mama,

I salut you all for the wonderful work you are doing here, I just received medical request from London VO after i send reconsideration letter, thank God my file is open again.

Please help your son, i live in Dubai and i need Nigerian police certificate, kindly advice how i can get this done without leaving Dubai or even if i have to leave how will i still get it.

Thanking you in advance.

Glair.

Congratulations glairlinez on your MR. The truth is that you have to plan to come down to Nigeria to get your Police Clearance Certificate. It cannot be done by proxy as they will need to take your finger prints, except you would like to cut off your fingers and send them by courier :P :P :P :P. Please make haste to come down and get that processed and time is of essence you must know.

@ ikemba, i live in Dubai also and i got my PCC done without cutting my fingers :P :P :P or flying down.
The form where sent to me by email, i filled and did finger print with ma pics and scan back to them at alagbon.
Its was signed and stamped and it was sent to me. +1 for me abi ;D ;D ;D

MOEGBENGA of this forum apply by himself within the same time frame and he now lives in Saskatoon.

There are loads of applicants represented by Mr Cohen still locked up in the backlog.

Having a consultant will not affect the speed or shunting in the queue as your friend sugggest.

Cheers
