Is it applicable to all airlines and the departure location is from Either Abuja/Lagos? or Accra?

Not sure if it is any flight but i no Lufthansa is supported. Yep from any airport but tickets have to be purchased in Accra office or with a New York Credit card in new york. I intend purchasing mine when i go to Accra to get the visa.

Thank you everybody. I am an infrequent participant of this forum. Sorry for this, its the nature of my work. I want to tell my people who has been waiting that good thing will soon happen to them just like it has presently happened to me. I received my medical request 2 days ago. I am a prejune who registered for the first time through Canada in January. Thanks for the advice and support. God bless you all. I want to know if it is possible to get ones PR card without staying for 4 to 6 weeks in Canada. Can one go come back after 2 weeks and tell ones family to bring it for one when they are coming back to Nigeria after 6 weeks. Since this will be posted to the canadian address. Pls I need you contribution as I can spent up to 4 week away from my training/work for now.

Yes your family can get the card for you. They will all be posted to your address in Canada. The cards might all come at once or might come at seperate times


Canada is tightening up on its immigrants. They have noticed that most people immigrants who obtain their PR do not stay in the country to work and bring revenue (huge tax) to the government. They are beginning to flag people who fly in and out of Canada and do not work in Canada. I am aware of a guy who is having problem with immigration due to this problem. He flies in and out of Canada, his family resides in Canada but he works in Nigeria - one of the oil companies. On one of his visit to Canada, the Immigration officer told him that the PR was not for that purpose and if he just wants to be coming in and out he should obtain Visiting visa and that the PR was not mearnt for such purpose but was let off on warning. I do not know what happened next but I think he had to resign from Nigeria else he would lose the PR card which is a very bad idea . I am sure you are all aware that the Immigration officer at the airport has the power to revoke your card.

As Canadian Resident, you are entitled to a lot of aids. You cannot be enjoying from it if you are not contributing to it - Canada's belief. Canada has one of the highest tax rate in the world if not the highest with tax rate of about 40% even higher than that of UK. When you do a work of about 600 dollars in a month about 250 dollars goes to the government in form of tax which are used to provide for the senior citizen, daycare supplement for kids going to daycare, monthly money given to children under 18, educational grants and loans etc, Health care for everyone - Kids under 18 get free dental check and cleaning, eye check-up and provision of glasses if needed. All this are applicable to Alberta, not sure it is like that in other provinces. Canada operates a conservative economy so there are no super wealthy people.

If you are working outside Canada you will not be paying tax to them except you declare you income in Canada and pay the tax which i doubt most people do. Which is what Canada is trying to avoid.

I doubt if anyone can be working outside Canada and be coming in for regular visit and meet up with the 3 years of the 5 years to be eligible for a citizenship or PR renewal. It would be sad to just lose the PR just like that. This flying in and out thing only applies to PR. Once you are a citizen then you can go in and out as you so wish.
