Interesting.
Thanks for this update, Seglad. I have a few Qs:
1. Does the eye test mean I fail the medical exam if I wear glasses? No. But you might be advised to take a glass to correct your vision.
2. How "graphic" is this physical exam? I am asking cos I am wondering what purpose a physical exam may serve especially since they are doing the other tests. That will reveal scars from operations and they will want to know why you had the operation - a report directly from your surgeon will be required. Also that will help them to know if you have any disability or signs of any aliment.
3. How would they treat cases of hypertension, diabetes and asthma that are common chronic illnesses? (markers for these can be picked up in blood or urine tests) So long as these conditions will not put pressure on their health system you are ok. Better to check yourself prior to attending the test. I understand concerns about TB, HIV, HBV, HCV and the STDs. TB I hear is treatable. They will want to ensure that the parasite load is untraceable before the applicant is allowed to emigrate. HIV is almost a firm rejection I think, though it is not recorded in any CIC document. It will be great to hear your views!
