You have almost all the info you need.The other thing I will want to add is that the person inviting you should be ready to tender documents showing your relationship,their legal status, employment and financial situations in Canada which may be requested by the VO.

But avoid telling them that you will stay in an hotel 'cos' they will calculate your days in an hotel, your feedings against the intended weeks of stay and the money in your possession. Idea of breakfast hotel is ok if you dont have anyone to stay with while in canada. B&B hotel are less expensive than the modern hotel. You can find one from $20-100USD per day

Yes, you can tell them you have someone there. But the person must be ready to support you with his/her documents such as copy of passport, proof of resident, proof of address and bank statements if the person will provide for your feeding, accommodation and transportation. If not, you can just tell them that you are self sponsored, would responsible for your feeding and transportation but you will lodge with your friend, your friend must be ready to provide proof of address, invitation letter, along with his/her proof of resident with passport

Please I have a little challenge, yesterday the cic Ghana sent me a mail asking for my wife's form though I did not submit them at first since she is not accompanying me.
The requested for her DOB, to fill additional family 1504 form and I should bring our marriage certificate.
My challenge here is they asked for my one year bank statement and in my account as soon as my salary comes in I pull it out and fix in a finance house should I still print the bank statement showing the a balance of about N500k or should I just show them my fixed deposit certificate or liquidate the deposit and fix it in my current account where it should show me a balance of about N3m.
Please I need your help for those who had submitted there POF to CIC and friends who had received visa.
The Ghana embassy is working I get mails from them every Monday on additional documents.
Please kindly reply.

Hello Ind_dan, First I also got thesame request fr 12months bank statements and employment reference on Nov 5. So, I printed both for me, my wife and our baby's fixed dep statement, anyway we had enof funds for our family size and I submitted a week later; then my e-cas changed to IN PROCESS on dec 14.

I suppose the funds in ur FD moved from ur a/c, if that's the case just liquidate it back into ur current a/c, of course they will see the inflow and outflow frm the 12 months statement; if otherwise, u may have to print both the 12months statement(they'll see regular inflows) and the FD statement(hope u've had the funds over 3months), which I believe will be honoured.

The recent decision of the visa office in Ivory Coast to close shop temporarily is because of the political imbroglio in the country. I believe as the Ivorian polity stabilizes, things will normalize at the visa office.
