Good morning everyone, the weekend is almost near and I can't wait, gonna redo my bathroom this weekend and hopefully take my mind off the whole process, between that and my lil mans soccer, ill be pretty busy!

ebonyshine : He was considering going back but I'm very happy that he will not be returning to the work he was doing before, as he was located in Muskoka which is a 2 hour drive from me. Now that we are back from Calgary and settled, he is on the job hunt looking for something new. I hope he has as much luck as some of the other forum hubbies. We really need the $$$!!

I have question for a gf she has already been approved to sponsor her man and he just waiting for PR approval she asked me if they check/know if shes on social assistance, she was working when approved to sponsor but is now out of work, I dont know the answer so I wondered if anyone can help me help her????????

tell her not to go on it until he comes here and they may not check BUT she signed saying she wont go on for the duration of the sponsorship if they find out she will get refused not bcuz the file inna KGN no mean them not checking tell her dont plz

Kedeisha- I m pretty sure the sponsorship agreement doesnt take effect till the sponsored person is landed (I think) and I thought its the sponsored person that is not allowed to be on assistance I really am unsure what to tell my friend cause she is on assistance and was working before and got approved to sponsor its now the PR part shes concerned about....

HELP Does any else have some advice for my girl????????????????

She can't be on assistance at all while sponsoring her husband hopefully she will get out and get work or else they could deny his visa

she cannot as they can find out and that was one of the question its like if u went to jail during the process before they land that makes u ineligible as that was an eligibility question, the sponsored person cannot get welfare after they come for 3 yrs as thats the length of the undertaking while the sponsorer can once the person lands but during the process welfare deems them inelgible as u cannot provide for urself without help so the gvt dont like that

so I talked to my friend about all this and she said she could get a part time cleaning job working for her mom would this be sufficient and should she submit some kinda info regarding this to KGN?

if she changed her job then yes as they ask if your dynamic change n that include job, births death etc her chnage in income won't impact her as there is no income requirement BUT did she ever went on welfare if she did tell her to not update her info as she will be opening a can of worms but if she never got welfare from when the sponsorship was approved then she should submit info

Hi Lonely...I agree with ked...tell her to not update file...she's already an approved sponsor so leave it be!

lilmaya-no jobs in muskoka please...you've spent enough time away from hubby...its great that he already has the Canadian experience. He's steps ahead with that under his belt.

Yup I've been going to zumba a few times a week, soccer a few times a week too, this all def helps with this process!

tell ur friend to hope n pray they dont ask for additional information from her i am not condoning this BUT if this is her only way so be it hope he can get thru n come quick so he can help
