in that case they should come up with a scheme for all new pr , that all p.r holders cant change trades , cooks at pti camps make 35$ an hour , why would they need to change their trades,

Six occupations will no longer be eligible for the CEC starting November 9, 2013:

cooks (NOC code 6322);
food service supervisors (NOC 6311);
administrative officers (NOC 1221);
administrative assistants (NOC 1241);
accounting technicians and bookkeepers (NOC 1311); and
retail sales supervisors (NOC 6211).

Also NOC B occupations will have 200 limit.

So what will be the other programs in which these applicants can apply? If CEC is not admitting, then FSW won't.

if they don't accept my application as of Nov 8, when it was received, I am moving to Alberta, I swear to God. My husband could apply under PNP but his employer is not making 1 mil a year so ON is not an option for us, unless our application is received as of Nov 8. But then again nobody knows if it is gonna be approved later... I really wanna go back to Europe now, was stupid of us to come here in the first place... Nobody needs anybody... It is all corporations looking for cheap labour etc...

relax, your NOC is 6313 and this is not on the black list.

They need us here, at least in the role of consumers.

i just hope they really stamp the envelopes there

i think i could still reapply if the application comes back in 2 months but then again god knows how many 6313 ppl there are...

One thing to remember: The 200 limit for NOC-B is a maximum limit. There is no minimum limit.

So out of 12000 applicants, NOC-0/A can be 11500 applicants. There is no limit for NOC-0/A applicants. They can apply any number between 0 to 12000.

What I am trying to say is lets say NOC-4214 (NOC-B) limit is 200. But only 50 NOC-4214 submitted. The rest 150 spaces won't just sit and wait for more NOC-4214s. It will be used up for other NOCs. And once a total of 12000 is received, they will close session for this intake, even though only 50 NOC-4214 application got submitted.

Moral:
Send out your application at the earliest, don't wait because "Oh I can wait, cause not a lot of Air Pilots are applying, and my NOC group will never get filled up, so I can take it easy."

Oh my god, 200 applications per NOC code? Think about it, there are thousands of people going through CEC in whole Canada. I bet that one NOC code could be filled in one day. I don't know what to do, I am starting to freak out. I am just waiting for the English test report, and then decided to visit CIC website, and found the bad news.

yes, that a very good point.

it looks like skills 0 and A are totally given priority.

On the other hand, let's take a look at NOCs of candidates in this forum. The majority has a digit 2 or 3 on the second place of the NOC what means the majority is type B.

... And skill level B being the majority is exactly the reason for those new rules. To limit the applications and to speed up the immigration process for eligible applicants.

In January they reduced experience to 1 year, which basically said "Come come apply more".
In November, they cut off NOCs and put limit on NOC-B, which is saying "enough of low skilled people".

So now they are focusing more for High-end skilled people mostly.

Also in January 2015, they are going to completely change immigration procedure (Expression of Interest), where CIC will choose "favorable" applicants. I personally think that will reduce chances for us even more.

:(

looks like canada is following australia and the usa

At some point they had to, after the changes they've made beginning of 2013 ( reducing the amount of experience by 50% and removing the sutdent stream ) which lead to way more applicants than before.

Wow. That's some heavy changes there. Thank god I already applied :) ::) ::)

Toby,

This may impact people, who already applied too. For ex, if somebody application get rejected and at that time cap has reached than he has to wait till 1st Nov 2014.There should be many people at that time waiting for applying. And who knows their can be a lottery for CEC in future like they have for H1B in USA :-)

Applications received prior to Nov-9th are not affected by the new MI-10. If you get rejected and have to re-apply, then yes, you will be affected.
