And this does make sense, right? At least to me, it does. Canada is an attractive country to immigrants from all over the world, bonus said:From what I read, they want to attract "top quality" candidates
Sadly, yeserict said:Hello everyone,
I have worked in a public corporation for about 10 months (NOC 1241) and I left the company because of the department shun down. So now my 10 months experience becomes useless for CEC?
Thanks for any thought.

Well no limit for NOC A. I don't think you guys need to worry.iamelle said:This new regulation makes our family feel nervous about our fate here in Canada. Me and my husband are on NOC A and both of us are working. The real concern here is how soon is the cap going to be filled. It's only 12k! We're applying on January and we don't know by then if the cap is already filled up.
I super agree to this! We're NOC A but not eligible to apply yet. We have to wait till next month to lodge our application. If we weren't able to complete our documents in time due to the numerous holidays next month, we would probably have everything ready by January. But by then there are surely so many applications from NOC Bs already. So i don't see the sense at all.byrwus said:Secondly, first applied first processed is not the best way to select the best candidates.

12000 is still more than in 2012 and significantly more.

200 applicants seem to be very little for noc B and unfair. I was going through 2013 spreadsheets and the majority of applicants are of this noc. I know all the cec applicants are not listed here , but i think we have here a meaningful statistical sample. So puttting a cap on noc b will tremendously reduce cec applicants. We can speculate about the raisons of this decision and what not, bottom line, the application processing times should reflect these changes in the near future.iamroth said:One thing to remember: The 200 limit for NOC-B is a maximum limit. There is no minimum limit.
So out of 12000 applicants, NOC-0/A can be 11500 applicants. There is no limit for NOC-0/A applicants. They can apply any number between 0 to 12000.
What I am trying to say is lets say NOC-4214 (NOC-B) limit is 200. But only 50 NOC-4214 submitted. The rest 150 spaces won't just sit and wait for more NOC-4214s. It will be used up for other NOCs. And once a total of 12000 is received, they will close session for this intake, even though only 50 NOC-4214 application got submitted.
Moral:
Send out your application at the earliest, don't wait because "Oh I can wait, cause not a lot of Air Pilots are applying, and my NOC group will never get filled up, so I can take it easy."
