Soon, undecided, as I have booked on two dates. Will decide on which date to travel when the rule comes favourable with regard to the dates I booked. When are you travelling?

Yes, you are exempt from taking the test at Toronto...but if the details of the 3-day quarantine get released, everything will changeSo suppose if my flight is india-toronto-edmonton, then I am exempt...?
How do you do that? How do you call the agent?Just got off a call with a CBSA Agent who clearly said that the new $2000 rule hasn't been implemented yet and they aren't sure when it will be.
I just hope I can save $2000. That's like a third of my tuition fee, per semester.
That information is only up to January 7.https://www.mcgill.ca/internationalstudents/covid-19/entering-canada

You can call any of the 4 international airports and ask them to connect you to CBSA. Let me also tell you that not all of them are polite. How do you do that? How do you call the agent?
It doesn't say that anywhere.Looks like International students are exempt from mandatory hotel quarantine. They have modified the page on 2nd Feb.

Ughh sameee. And i read somewhere that it is going to cost approximately $2800Damn I now need to ask my parents for 2000 dollars more !?
It's not like they cannot provide me with money, I just hate asking them.
I know right. Might as well add $200 for Misc expenses.Ughh sameee. And i read somewhere that it is going to cost approximately $2800
This doesn’t say that international students will be exempt. If you are an international students I would be planning on having to do the hotel quarantine. It would make no sense to exempt such a large number of people coming from all over the world.https://www.mcgill.ca/internationalstudents/covid-19/entering-canada

Hello,
Thank you for your email.
These are the exemptions to the arrivals testing we were discussing in this mornings meeting - under the question who is required to be tested:
Travellers exempt from testing:
1. Children who are four (4) years of age and younger
2. International travellers connecting to a Canadian destination outside Ontario (without leaving the airport premises)
3. International travellers arriving in Toronto via a domestic flight (e.g. Hong Kong-Vancouver-Toronto)
4. Air Crew, including pilots, flight attendants, maintenance personnel, or other employee of a commercial airline in the course of employment
I hope this helps.
Thank you,
