So that means if it's a transit flight, then you will still be tested at the final stop, so the new restrictions will still apply. (e.g. you're flying over to Vancouver and one of the stops was in Toronto's Pearson airport; you won't take the test at Pearson, but you will take it at your final stop in Vancouver)

But is says all air travellers must quarantine in a hotel according to the government release. Where does it say that if you are connecting you are exempt from hotel quarantine? The exemption is for Covid testing.

Please provide the government announcement where they have stated that ”all air travellers’ only means those landing in the 4 cities. Information is changing quickly and current guidelines will change once the “hotel quarantine” policy is implemented. We don’t yet know what the requirements. Hopefully fully guidelines will be posted by the end of the week.

Well, it was a good journey. At Toronto airport, I gave my covid test again and I have all my documents for quarantine. not faced any problem.

A PCR-RT test is already valid for 72 hours. One already takes it prior boarding the flight and it's validity still remains until the connecting flight meeting the 72 hour threshold. Let's see.

Did you pay for the test? If yes, how much did you pay? Also do you have any information about the hotel quarantine?

Looks like International students are exempt from mandatory hotel quarantine.They have modified the page on 2nd Feb.

Don’t see where it says that international students are exempt. Only see that students arriving via the land border are exempt.
