For my PR card application, I did not link it to my cic account. I can’t link it now either. Is that something that we have to do?

I already received my PR card.
Notify your Local Visa Office/provincial office about your new status. Because they have nominated you, so they need to conclude your file. Congrats.
You need to renew the new SIN, if you apply online, it will take 20-25 days for them to send you the new 9-digits SIN. you might have some work to do with CRA as well because of the new SIN. Basically, you have to update everything because you are no longer a visitor, a student, or a worker.

Did anyone who already received their PR card still have the application on the cic page saying submitted?

It also says still in review on the portal page, so I don’t know if there is something wrong. I did not link my PR card application if that helps.

I applied through CEC, do I still have to do it?

Furthermore, to remain your PR status you must stay in Canada for 730 days within 5 years from the date you received your COPR. The PR card is valid for 5 years, after that, you must renew a new one before the expiration date.
For Citizenship, a minimum stay of 3 years over 5 years to apply for citizenship, but can reduce up to 365 days of that 3 years if you stay in Canada with a valid status previously, and pay your taxes on time. (which is a little more info for your consideration.)

Yes. you have to tell them about that, as well as any updates that apply to you, for instance, moving address, changing name and sex preference, newborn baby, etc.

I just received the first email today and replied to them.
Does anyone know when I will receive the second email?
I received mine the next day. I would say from 1 day to 2 weeks if there is no error occur.

Hi, you got your copr in email instead of PR confirmation portal ? Was your portal status showing In review when got your copr ?

I think it also depends on when you submitted your application. People with AOR from April/July/October 2020 are getting their second emails and COPRs before us. Is there anyone with March 2021 AOR and has already received COPR? that would prove this wrong.

Right, there is possible that people could receive their COPR sooner if they are under EE stream(6 months) or CEC(12 months). But definitely, not the PNP program(21 months). There are lots of factors to depend on, so there is no right anwser. Only, officers know.
