I guess something issued a day before should be fine
Very interesting .... for me, I think May 5 is ok.

I think he said a week, I could be wrong though. Plus, he could be wrong!Did the lawyer mention how long he thinks the program will remain open before slots are taken?
Yup, and we still don't know anything about processing times. There's some vague hints saying that applications are meant to be processed in 6 months or less, but would IRCC throw in a matter of weeks the EE budget into processing those applications? Jesus. I'm still as torn between this and CEC as I was a few weeks ago.
We just realized that my wife's visa is expired (not her study permit; it is valid. Her visa in her passport). Do you think this would be an issue? Should we apply for a new one before applying to this stream, or it doesn't matter? We can't travel anywhere because of the lockdown anyway.
I don't think that's a good idea. Can I leave Canada and come back again during the processing of my application?
I also have an expired visa, I'm not worried because it has nothing to do with this PR application. As far as I know, it doesn't matter. The visa only allows you to enter Canada, but as long as your permit is valid, you can stay in Canada.
So, a letter dated May 5th, stating that I am currently employed and will be employed on May 6th?
I think depends on your last permitWe just realized that my wife's visa is expired (not her study permit; it is valid. Her visa in her passport). Do you think this would be an issue?
