It's really surprising to me. We first sent our file on January 27, and on April 24 my Filipina wife received a Passport request (PPR) in her e-mail, even though a few days before that (April 20), we also received another email asking for a few more documents, and for us to redo IMM 5669 (because it didn't include all her occupations on a single piece of paper, due to there not being enough room on the sheet and only five rows). What does it all mean? Could we really be nearly approved, and so fast? If so I never expected it in a million years.

We are a bit disappointed, because I am visiting her in June, and we had bought plane tickets to travel to Singapore for a few days. If her passport is in the hands of a Visa processing center within that timespan, I don't see how she can leave the country

Can I also ask what people did to make all their occupations fit on form 5669? What I had done initially was put everything in the five rows (of section 8 of the form) until there was no more room, and put all the rest on a separate piece of paper... but it seems it wasn't proper since they are now requesting this. I'm scared of making a mistake again.

Wow that was blazingly fast and happy to hear that you already got your wife's PPR! Though, I wonder about the timing of their PPR that overlapped the request for the additional docs. I suggest it would be best to email the Manila Visa office to confirm this. I tried to email them before and I got a response after 2 business days.

Hi there, I think u used the old version of schedule A or you filled it up by hand? Because the new version now allows you to add more rows. If you will do what they ask for now, and submit it together with her passport then there is more chances that she can get back her passport before your singapore trip. Try to look on someone else' timeline, because after they send their passport they get it back after few weeks. I think maximum of 2 weeks. Why dont you just be thankful that your wife's app processed really fast, just look at it on the bright side. You will be coming home, will have a singapore trip, then you two can come together in canada. If the dates wont work then just make some adjustments like rebooking your flight. But I think you still have lots of time, so go ahead and fill up a new schedule A form and send together with her passport ASAP!

When I submitted it, the new version of the application already existed, but we used the old version of the application forms because we had a lot more work already done on them, and it would have been a pain for my wife to re-sign everything, and send me everything by courier to Canada yet again.

May I have a link to that new version of the form?

As for rebooking, I am not sure it is worthwhile... because with Cebu Pacific, rebooking is not possible when buying on a flash sale, or it is so expensive that it ends up costing more than the original ticket price... it's all a racket lol... I might have to chalk it up as a loss if we do not get the passport back in time

But I do not care that much, as of course all that matters to me is to have my wife live here with me.

And of course I will complete everything as quickly as possible. I wonder if my wife will have to physically go to either Manila or Cebu to hand over her passport and 2 pictures? They say they do not accept couriered passports.

As for the documents they are asking... it is a CSQ (I already received it), an advisory on marriages (my wife obtained one yesterday at the NSO), and the fixed IMM 5669 form. Can we just scan them all and send them by email or through their website, or should we send physical copies to the address they provided in the email?

I think oo, kung sakaling hindi eh si MVO ang mag request nun. Pero for sure yan nasa manila na app natin, three times ako nakareceived ng ganung email eh sa dami ko kasing beses sinend , so meaning inopen nila un. Sabi din ng iba pagdating daw talaga sa manila eh medyo wala ng balita na maririnig unless before PPR eh additional docs pa tayo. So tiwala langs, pero na oobserve ko parang umaabot ng 2-3 months sa MVO before sila mag PPR. Parang ngaun ata january applicants ang waiting sa PPR, eh march tayo, so expect natin mga late may or june

My best guess as to why the PPR was received mere days afterward, is that the government of Quebec stated in the letter accompanying the CSQ which I received that they would send confirmation that they had approved me to Immigration Canada. So maybe if they got confirmation of this, it was enough for them.

As for what I did... I don't think I really did anything special... I just tried to be as thorough as possible, providing multiple screenshots of our IM conversations on WhatsApp over time, to show a continuing relationship... and also screenshots of Facebook posts that we made when we first met each other, traveled together in other areas of the Philippines, got married, etc...

Hi, I'm only using my phone now so I cant find the IMM5669, but try to google it and make sure you download the file that allows you to validate it.

And yes, somehow thats true with cebu pacific. What you can do now is to hope that you will get back her passport before the singapore trip.

Hey, I remember about my co-worker when she was on the processed of sponsoring her husband. So what happened was they already asked for the husband's passport, but they also asked for his police certificate in guam. I dont know which one they asked first,but I remember that guam took forever to send his police certificate. So they had delays and MVO hold his passport for sometime until they received the pcc from guam. So I think requesting additional docs and PPR isnt unsual to MVO

I found it on the Immigration Canada website... however, they mention to only use this form with the new kits... I don't want to create a problem because we made our application with the old kits.

So I really don't know what to do anymore. I'm worried of making a mistake or giving them something that doesn't correspond to what they expect again.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to ask something.. I haven't yet submitted my AOM though it was included on AOR2 that it is part of requirements. Our consultant told us that it's fine as long as we have the cenomar as it is not included in the checklist.. Now I see that most of the applicant have received an email requesting that document.. I haven't received an email yet requesting that document. Now my question is, should I submit it now even without request OR should I wait for another email to come? Please help..
