Only thing I have in mind is for him to maybe execute an Affidavit of Dual Citizenship to be attached when you file your application. Stating that he is Canadian but also acquired Filipino Citizenship during the time you mentioned. Thus, your MC shows him as a Filipino. I take it you got married in Philippines? On the Affidavit, have him attach a copy of his Birth Certificate (if he was born in Canada), a copy of his Canadian Passport and a copy of the document when he applied for dual citizenship here in Philippines.

Thanks for the advise! Yes we got married ihere in the Philippines. He was born here in the Philppines and he acquired his canadian citizenship way back 2000. He then applied for dual citizenship 2006 before coming to the Philippines to study.

Gather all your documents to proof your relationship is genuine. After get your mc at nso, you have to get advisory of marriage as well. Your identification, your police certificate if went to other countries more than 6 months.birth certificate,.

Does your wife knows what she going to prepare? Or you can visit cic website for more info. May check list po at mga guide what to do first.

Its been so long that i keep on reading this thread and now this is the time that i am now in real scenario, so i would like to ask your experience on how to start my application here it goes;

1.Just got married last month and now we are just waiting for our NSO marriage contract hopefully mid of next month, however can you share your thoughts on what to do next since me and my wife is confused because somebody told her that all the forms and other requirements should be submit
all at once... is this the actual procedure?

2.im in Qatar right now so do i need to secure the police clearance right away and other supporting document and send it to her in Canada?

3.if you dont mind can i have the detailed list of all the requirements so i wont missed any required documents? thank you in advance.

1. If you got married just last month, dapat po kayo mag ask ng advance endorsement from LCR kung san kayo nag submit for registration ng MC nyo. It is better if your wife will personally take care of this.
1.1 LCR will give you the endorsement letter for PSA (former NSO)
1.2 Your wife will then take the letter to the main PSA office in Quezon City.
1.3 After she submits the letter, she will be advised to return after 2 weeks to collect your MC on PSA paper.
1.4 Would suggest you request few copies na just to make sure you already have extra copies on hand.

If you will not do "no. 1" as suggested, it will take for you both about 4-6 months, to be able to get a PSA copy of your MC. When I did mine, I requested 5 copies upfront. Hassle din kasi mag travel plus traffic, etc.

2. Might be best to request required Police Certificates upfront.

Hello one of the requirements for the CFO seminar was to bring a marriage certificate certified by NSO. My wife and me got married in Canada awhile back. I only have our marriage certificate issued by the province of Alberta. Will this be going to be enough?

Hello there, i am 100% sure that you can mail it thru the Visa Application Centre (VAC) nearest to your place of residence. Find a VAC in your area at http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/

There's a slight difference between the two.
Vacc - you have to pay the service fees + they will ensure that your documents will transmit safely to the visa office and will give you a tracking number to keep tract of your parcel. You can follow-up your documents.
Vo manila- no service fee needed. You can send your documents directly (just write on the envelop "urgent:requesteddocuments"),, i dont think they respond immediately if you tried to follow-up, unless it is really necessary.

I havent been requested for passport yet.. However.. Based dun s mga nabasa ko on previous posts..some of them...ay nagsend ng passport via courier...unless may iba n polocy ngayon..you could wait for their reply po..thanks...and congrats in advance..

I was informed about the long queue regarding the dfa appointment so i went to seek for passport assistance to an accredited agency to process my passport renewal now i have an appointment on june 23...

Thank you very much. We got married in Philippines. So you mean my wife will submit all the applications including mine and we will just wait Sponsors approval then what I'm gonna do next?
