Ontario will likely make adjustments to take into consideration those below 400 especially FSWs who will not be getting any increment under this new system. Happy these changes came before I spent $1500

And then there were some people saying that they will increase the points to 450 minimum for PT of interest. A big LOL to them

Among the changes listed on page 1 are points for foreign work ex with clb9. I'm a bit confused here, the only change is the additional points for intl students, right?

All in all, what will be the impact on the pool mix and CRS cut-off due to such changes? Will the cut-off move to higher side like 480+ or it will hover around 460-470's?

As they say that 75-80% intl students have 380-400 points so now most of them will go to 410-430. And we get an average 200-300 LMIAs candidates in the pool every 2 weeks which makes the CRS points for 200-300 applicants after 2 weeks above 600. After the changes the first few draws we can see scores going bit up. But after that in march-april we can see scores drop below 450 because of fewer LMIA points.

So I'm currently sitting at 450 points (foreign Masters, 2 years foreign work exp, clb10, 28 years old). With LMIA, I now have 500 points. Based on everything I'm reading here, I'm pretty relieved. I thought I'd be screwed by these changes .

Do we need to be in Canada to get these points (50 or 200) under CEC category ?

Hope there will be another notice for French this week; may be they are making statistic calculations for applicant's linguistic profile.

pnp maybe. i dont think, it will be directly through EE. many provinces need francophones but dont have the stream. only ontario so far.

Very fair and nice changes. And no mention of siblings which is good they should make it a different stream. Nice changes limited bonus points fixing the LMIA. Fair to all I think the scores will drop now because we will save 200-300 LMIAs points after every 2 weeks that means no guaranteed ITA or high scores for them. The score will come down after first few draws of changes.

I think we siblings should sign a petition to the government for not fulfilling the promise. Why did they announce the additional point to siblings in the very first place. I could have got Nova Scotia PNP last year, but waited whole year for the change to find nothing.

What remaining ?? can you read? no more 600 points for LMIA now. Maximum for LMIA is 200 pts.

And you can only get the maximum 200 pts if your job belongs to NOC 00xx, and if it belongs to other NOC, you only get 50 points.

What if someone has NOC A job offer, which does not require LMIA?

points will change. no need of new profile so far. however this might be announced soon if we need to create a new profile. the official announement about these changes wil be next week according to the minister

I would be interested to learn which statistics you are referring to and how you have come to this conclusion. Share your calculation, please.

I think there is a misunderstanding here or perhaps I am wrong. LMIA still gives 600 extra points. Job offer without LMIA gives 50/200 points.

My understanding is that you either get 50 or 200 for LMIA. Those 600 exist no more.
