I guess its the day when it was supposed to be published, but considering how sneaky Alexios 07 is at finding articles like these from archives we are reading it today

So do we get more points for a good clb score ? For all areas of my test, I scored CLB9 and above.

Are the skills transfer-ability points the same as before or do we get more points ?

Its the same as before, they just expanded the definition of levels of eduction.

Never. Threshold is going upwards. No way it is going to stay circa 450

Depends, it's going to hover more around the same 470 I think. There's going to be fewer lmias above that but maybe equal students. I think it will up and level around 480 for a bit before dropping again like it has... But meh... Who knows with Canada?!

Also factor in the ICT (intra company transfer) visa holders. Thousands of ICT visas are issued every year and they are going to get 50 extra points.

Yup but that's still after 1 year of work there... I think it'll still stagger it out well. It's bumped some up and some down.

It'll be interesting when (if?) they publish relative rankings. Hopefully, that'll put an end to these endless speculations on draw cutoffs and everyone can use their crystal balls for other purposes.

Most importantly, these Instructions come into force on November 19, 2016. Probably no more draws based on the old scoring pattern.

I don't think they will publish the relative rankings. I think only they know the ranking, but not the applicants.

Even we have these words in today's ministerial instructions

(c) for the purpose of the Comprehensive Ranking System referred to in section 8, including to determine
(i) the rank of the foreign national relative to other foreign nationals, and
(ii) whether the foreign national occupies the rank required in order to be issued an invitation;

When you refer to the old ministerial instructions, it has the similar words.

(a) determine
(i) whether the foreign national is to be issued an invitation, based on the information provided in the expression of interest that they have submitted to the Minister,
