I think we siblings should sign a petition to the government for not fulfilling the promise. Why did they announce the additional point to siblings in the very first place. I could have got Nova Scotia PNP last year, but waited whole year for the change to find nothing.

. in case we siblings sign a petition we could be talking of months to get an answer. i think they did not have it clear when they said " additional points " for sibling though EE. if they are going to do this, they will have to do it through pnp for example by giving additional points if you have a sibling in that province. im assuming your sibling does not live in NS.
anyways, wait for pnps to open to see what they got for 2017, most of them are closed now

There's no such thing as a "job offer" without LMIA.
Otherwise, anyone could give you a job offer and not go through with it.

My understanding is that you either get 50 or 200 for LMIA. Those 600 exist no more.

There's no such thing as a "job offer" without LMIA.
Otherwise, anyone could give you a job offer and not go through with it.

There are people who are with job offers and working on work permits exempted from LMIA (example ICT VISA), though I still believe the 600 points no more exist at least for LMIA.

Previously, qualifying job offers supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment were worth 600 points under the CRS. As of November 19, there will be new ways of being awarded either 50 or 200 points without the need to obtain a LMIA (though points will continue to be awarded to individuals with a new or existing LMIA). The new regulations also allow the following individuals to be awarded points for a qualifying job offer:

Individuals with a work permit issued under an international agreement, such as the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
Individuals with a work permit issued under the ‘significant benefits to Canada’ criteria, such as Intra-Company Transfers.

Many of my friends are here from India on a software job wlith an ICT work permit. Will everyone of them get additional 50 points?, if yes that would be awesome

Am I getting less points for the transferability ?

CLB 7, with 1year CWE and 3 years FWE, I used to get 100 points for transferability but now seems like only 75 points.

Yeap! Same thing that I have heard. Questions will be answered when they update the CRS simulator.

24. (1) The points that are to be assigned for a combination of the Canadian work experience and foreign work experience of a foreign national are the following:

(a) 0 points, if the foreign national has no foreign work experience, regardless of their Canadian work experience;
(b) 13 points, if the foreign national has one or two years of foreign work experience and one year of Canadian work experience;
(c) 25 points, if the foreign national has one or two years of foreign work experience and two or more years of Canadian work experience;
(d) 25 points, if the foreign national has three or more years of foreign work experience and one year of Canadian work experience; and
(e) 50 points, if the foreign national has three or more years of foreign work experience and two or more years of Canadian work experience.
