Hi, You will get an intimation about your file number in between 30 - 60 days.. From the day you receive that they take 10 - 15 days to send you medicals request. Once you reply with your wife's medicals results, they will send you Schedule A and you will submit in a days time.. After checking with your income credentials, you will get approval for sponsoring your spouse and your file will be sent to NDVO (New Delhi Visa Office). From the day of receiving your application and until the day it reaches the NDVO it will take 90 - 150 days.

Once your reaches here, NDVO will use it as a pillow for 30 - 60 days. Then they will open it, do the background check and send you the pre-arrival documents in 120 - 150 days frm the day it arrives in NDVO. You will get a Decision Made mail and you will get a Passport Request mail in 15 - 30 days time. Once she submit the passport it will be returned back with the visa in 15 - 30 days time and she can join you in Canada..

Never expect your spouse's visa application will get through in less than the stipulated time. It will never happen.. So just keep in mind it will take 10 - 12 months time for you to bring your spouse to Canada.. Good Luck..

Just a quick question,
Does a Background Check always happen? I'm just curious as our file has been in the NDVO since mid Feb. And most people who applied in November seem to have gotten their BGC started.
So I'm patiently waiting but just curious. When you go to your gckey account and check the status their is a question mark beside each point. For the bgc, it states 'in some cases a check will be done' so i was wondering if anyone knew if they are always completed?

My wedding ceremony was real, I dont understand what was the confirmation about .She asked me to send few more pictures .If immigration officer is not satisfied with pictures ,She will schedule an interview for me . Everyone at home is worried. . What does it mean ? What Am I Suppose to think ?

dm means decision made and pre arrival servies is a email sent by NDVO after background check
