Yes, actually one should be prepared mentally for anything between 8-12 months (avg.) and if someone gets before to that it's only a bonus.

Ok but can't you push to get anything within a month time before the deadline date for documents submission. If not, then you should inform NDVO about the situation. Hope they will understand it and give you extension
