They might have asked some of input from your end, so wait for that. In case you didn't get correspondence do try to call them after tomorrow lot of PPR.

In case you get the PPR tomorrow, go ahead with Passport submission. how ever just ensure to mail /call to CIC to ensure you dont miss any thing . As of now wait for tomorrow. most probably you will get the PPR.

2nd email on 10th november 2016 from cic file received in delhi shows status file received medical received
22th november request for landing fees (rprf) and pcc
status change to we are processing your file on 22nd nov and file received medical received

can some one put some light on it how long it will take from now.

i sent pcc during application submission but no RPRF. i sent RPRF only. i dont think i need to submit pcc again...as it said ' if not submitted'...can u say what u did?

GCMS Notes can be ordered anytime (I applied mine last month and received on 29th day), You can expect to find information/status of eligibility check, Background check etc. It could be helpful in some cases and not so much in other cases, totally depends on how far your application is and how much work immigration officer has done on your application.




As a side note, I applied for my husband on May 4th, 2016 (So we might have same timeline). My notes were not so helpful but keep in mind I applied end of October so there might have been some progress made by now.

That's unusual, lets not panic till you get the letter in the post or the mail. I am sure its a standard template to submit your passports, photos or receipt of fees paid and the usual stuff. All the best

To answer your first question, It is not mandatory to send PCC with original application, You can update it later as well but it is recommended to provide PCC along with original application.

I am not sure but I don't think it will matter to the visa office as PCC will be from applicants current country of residence only. I do not have much experience to answer this question.

Though your wife works in pune, she might not be holding any address proof for pune. I after consultation with many took pcc from punjab only. If you seek pcc thourgh passport seva kendra,they will give you pcc for punjab as per the address.

If told about pune, they shall ask you to change address in passport and apply pcc.

So the best way we found out was take a pcc from punjab police applying through police commissioner.

Correct, to simplify things, get the PCC from the address on your passport. When i had gotten my wife's PCC, the inspector went to her house and had asked us to be there for verification. Just saying, something to keep in mind. Unless you know someone in your city in Punjab's police department, then i guess you dont need to be present there.
