8. Have you resided in countries other than Canada?

Should I give only home country info here? Or should I must give all countries that i had visited or even worked (earlier before Canada, I was on work permit for 2 years, even visited few other on tourist visa)

If, I have to state India alone as previous residence; do I need to provide each of the addresses. I had stayed in different addresses in same city. Or should I give last address of residence alone.

Please suggest. This is confusing.

if you lived and worked in other countries, the answer should be Yes. also visited countries are not needed here because you were a visitor and didn't live there.
also, if you lived more than 6months in the country you indicated, you will require a police clearance, obtain that before you submit your application to speed up the process.
you can get your PCC from the embassy, a bit more work required but it is needed.

I'm not sure if this makes a difference or not but I signed a nikkah-nama on the actual wedding date. My marriage certificate states the date and location where we got married and all my supporting docs correspond with the actual marriage date. I'm assuming everyone has a diff date that they registered their marriage? Correct?
True, the traditional dates are the dates of the marriage and even if you register them (for a certificate) later it doesn't matter, the original traditional marriage date should not change.

Hi all

I got acknowledgment receipt and UCI number by NDVO last week , and now when I am logging in and checking my status it's showing "IN PROCESS"
Basically there are two pointers , first is we received your file on this this date and second point is DELHI office started working on 25th October.

How many more months I should expect now?

Anybody has any suggestion???

I agree with AVP296.

Lived more than 6 months YES, please mention all the address (Home Country + Worked Country) and with correct dates To and From. Visited not required. And if you were on Work Permit in Canada you should send your PCC from Canada too.

Hope this helps Jameee

It will take time, we don't know how and why there are discrepancies in each case with respect to timelines but some of the folks here got PPR within 7-9 months and some of them are waiting longer than that.

Thank you AVP. However, my marriage registered date in one month later than, Traditional marriage date. Also, all my photographs, invitations and travel proofs bind to Traditional marriage date.
Do you still think, still i should mention registered certificate date.
I suppose, there is always a time lag to get marriage registered in India and ones traditional date wouldn't match with certificate issue date.

dhaliwal_randhawa did mentioned he used tradition date. What you think?
Hi buddy
I assume marriages are registered not in the same way in every state in India.
When I registered my marriage the registrar took the traditional wedding certificate from the church as a reference.
So on my marriage certificate, the date, the venue etc are the same.

Yeah.. I guess, NDVO is trying to clear all backlogs from 2015 applicants rather than moving with the new applicants. That sounds fair, but just not sure how some jan-apr applicants got PPRs. I guess now they stopped for 2016 since 3 weeks and now working on 2015 files. Lets hope for the best. :)
I am more worried about the study visa season coming up.
There is January intake for students in Canada, and candidates start applying in October itself.
NDVO must be processing those files now

canada goverment increased the quota for 2016 so its not going to filled that early.

I don't think so I talked to many students who all are in Canada and who all are applied now and there passport went to Bangalore nothing to Delhi. May be its like what ever the area is .like if you from south part of India then it's Bangalore and north Delhi may be . I am not sure though
