i guess CIC is working on their approach to process files of spouses with highest priority which are in backlog (as in CIC June article)
-straightforward cases first- and then regular cases
i guess in this parliament session budget will be allocated to CIC, means CIC will have more resources and.or salary, which mean process is even going to be more faster in coming days

its just my theory- i hope/wish everyone meet their spouses soon

thanks

I am not sure how VO finds a case is straightforward or not. BUt i guess approach may be
they consider
-your history with spouse
-have you added pics/call details/chat history- in an easily readable mathod.
-your age compatibility, is it first marriage for both etc

but again i am not VO, i have no idea how case is considered straight forward or not

i can say NDVO is working hard to get spouse cases fast , eventually everyone will be benefited with faster processing

keep your hopes, best of luck
thanks

Hi All,

My wife finally completed her landing yesterday at the Rainbow Bridge (Canada - US Border) and it was a breeze :)
My wife was already in Canada on TRV before getting the PR.

We reached the Rainbow Bridge early in the morning around 10AM and there were not many people ahead us so it took us around 30 minutes for the complete process. (To go to US and come back to the Canada border). The officers on both the sides were really friendly.

Our Timeline -
App. Filed.......: 17-Mar-2016

PPR: 2-Sep-2016
Passport Sent (Ottawa) : 6th Sep
Passport received : 22nd Sep
Landed : 25th Sep 2016 (Rainbow Bridge)

Hope everyone gets their good news soon. :)

Hi,

I received PPR on 19-Sep from NDVO and was instructed to submit passport to NDVO witin 30 days. Same day I responded to their email stating I am residing in USA and requested change in visa office so I can send the passport to the nearest VO. I have not heard so far from them. Any idea how long does it take to change the visa office.

I also informed that I am pregnant and requested if I can postpone the passport submission to after delivery so I can add my child to the application and get the PPRs together before travelling to Canada.

An idea how long does it take the visa office to respond to such requests? Thanks.
