Hi to all, i am new to this page, just want to know if i submit my file(in canada) for spousal sponsorship, how long does it takes for the file to get processed ?
Anywhere from 2 to 8 months if u applying outland lol

thanks for replying Jhonnybegood ..actually i am living in india and my wife will be submitting the file in canada..does it falls under spousal sponsorship outside canada

Yes it does.

However, if you are a PR then you need to be residing in Canada for the duration of the sponsorship process and cannot apply if you're outside Canada.

Canadian citizens living outside Canada can apply for spousal sponsorship unless they fall under certain applicable conditions listed on the CIC website which would not allow them to sponsor their spouse.

However, all things being good - Canadian citizens do need to prove their intent to return and reside in Canada when applying for sponsorship of their spouse.

Hey guys,

So you should be happy that ppl applied fare ahead then you guys and waited more time for being with their loved ones are getting updates, instead of being SAD and DEPRESS, coz when ever you need help they are there to provide.

Hope you can understand.

Just my tinfoil hat theory but...

Last DM/PPR for NDVO applicants was around May 10, and around May 12 John McCullum said that he was going to put additional resources (40+ officers) to middle east for faster processing of privately sponsored syrian refugees.

I don't think it's a coincidence.

Quoting myself from last month because I now have concrete evidence supporting my theory. 2016 application stopped processing exactly when staff was sent to Middle East. Vaibhavxv ridiculed my theory but here we are. :)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/department/media/notices/2016-06-22.asp

Link above shows that staff worked from may 10 to June 20 in Middle East. I won't be surprised if we see more PPR for 2016 ndvo applicants by July 10. Anyone want to wager on this?

Do u have any statistical evidence or just a guess to predict that 'we may see more PPR for 2016 ndvo applicants by July 10'?
